Hello please before you may want to bash me or my opinions, at least hear me out ... Is it just me or does the government think that the solution to all of the world's problem's is money? i'm trying to bash America ... i love it ... but this government really has me shaking my head ... i read the recent article by BBC that showed that the stocks were falling once again to the worst they've been since 2002 ... yeah some people may see that as not too bad because it's only 2002, but from Jan 1. 2008 to Nov. 2008 it dropped around 5,000 points ... now you'd think it would go up due to the fact that the government was doing some things ... you know investing money here, investing money there, but it didn't and once again they're doing it by passing this stimulus, and not many people obviously believe this is going to solve very much, thus the falling stock market ...and another example would be the auto industry and how the government is giving them billions of dollars ... so the question i'm trying to get out is when will the government stop thinking money will solve our problems, and realize enough is enough? or will they never figure it out until the people actually do something?

p.s. i am in no way suggesting socialism or communism, so don't try and play that card ... any thoughts or discussion would be awesome ... i guess i'm just confused ...

To answer your question, some time shortly after the population at-large ceases to be ignorant.

If I had a second line I would post it right here.

i think it's more that the people are stupid and need things put really simply or they refuse to even try and understand.

For example, you say 'i am in no way suggesting socialism or communism, so don't try and play that card ...' -You're worried people will think you're a socialist, ugh not an unamerican socialist! darn reds! Why does this scare you? why does socialism scare you?

If we think without labels for a second and don't let scary cold war nightmares scare us, is socialism actually bad?

The world fair really sold the idea of corporate america, the dream was big shiny companies would make everyone whatever they wanted and everyone could afford everything because they all worked for the corporations - however real economics proves time and time this isn't how it works. money = power and the corrupt soon rise to the top, the backstabbing and cheating of the roman senate are nothing compared to how global capitalists run the world and its only going to get worse.

But no, don't look at what's really happening pay attention to the puppets, did you vote for the puppet on the left or the puppet on the right? the red puppet or the green puppet? This posterboy for big business on the left will make TV cheeper but the corporate shill on the right will give me more money to spend on a bigger TV...

Pure communism is dictatorship, so is pure capitalism - However a healthy balance is very sensible, make sure it's non authoritarian and no one has a form of power which leads to control and the world would be a lot less violent and a lot less stressful.

The Majority of government is bought off and paid for by international banking cartels/NWO/Elitists. There are not "ignorant" they are only making themselves appear to be to hide there real agenda. which is imploding the global economy so they buy up everything cheap and get you to beg them for a world bank and world currency. When it takes a wheel barrow of your currency's to buy one loaf of bread you will beg them for New world order. no there far from ignorant more like meticulous planners. don't believe me? proofs in the pudding bro.

Yes of course I read it. My comment stands.

Had people elected people into government that were qualified and incented enough to do their jobs there would have been sufficient oversight to prevent this meltdown in the first place. The Wall Street firms that were creating and promoting this investment fraud they called CDO's and CDS's would have been reeeled-in LONG before the bailouts became necessary. But we elected a group of morons who don't know how to do their jobs.

Keep something important in mind, however, the stock market is just one, small aspect of this whole thing. It is in no way a linear, direct indicator of what's going on. That is a whole lot more complicated and intertwined.

Unfortunately, people like simple black-and-white answers to otherwise hugely complex issues. They can't undertand the issue so they glom on to or whip-up some simplistic Sesame Street explanation as if it's accurate. Works for them so it must be right.

That just makes things worse. Goes back to the adage 'as ye sow, so shall ye reap'.

It isn't just the US government that thinks money can solve this crisis, it is almost the entire world that is thinking this way right now.

I do think the government in ignorant though, it is just like high school. You have cliques except we have the D's and R's most of them can't think for themselves or they are new to the club and want to fit in so they just follow in line like a bunch of lemmings.

So you have politicians that are submitting to the cool kids in the club so to speak. The thing is though this is just the way it is. We elect them as leaders and when they get there they look for their leaders in order to 'get things done'.

That is why if revolution ever happens we need to add a few amendments.

We just hear the big number of the bailout. But I have heard the deeper details, and some ARE encouraging.

And actually quite complicated to understand, which tells me they are looking at the issues. But basically, it is make it worthy for banks to start lending again, and keep people in their homes. It was a much bigger concept then I can explain to you, but basically we are in a catch 22 where banks won't loan if the home isn't worthy, but the homes are not worthy, so the gov't is making up the difference so the banks lend and get people into the homes again.

Once people get into homes, then it has a snowball effect. They then can hire real estate agents, contractors. States can pay road cres and build new roads and keep them employed, etc.

All we hear is, money going to the banks, what you hear far less of is how, and the plan is a little more inttricate then you think. The plan goes down to the most basic small bank loan level.

In other words they are trying to keep housing prices artificially high? And since people can't afford to buy houses right now they are going to buy houses for people?

Welcome to depression 2.0.

When the quality of life changes then they will stop being ignorant.
For now all I hear is...its not that bad or Obama will get the economy going.
When the stores shelves go empty and people are rioting then they will wake up and realize they have been duped.
Until then I have to listen to them saying everything is fine.

No, but now the houses values are far lower then they should be. Nothing artificial about bringing them to somewhat near the value they are.

When they take the time to better educate themselves they'll learn to stop the emotional reaction.

I recommend finding a copy of "The Rope Spinner Conspiracy" by Michael Thomas copyright 1987

This book perfectly illustrates what's happen.

2012 if all those predictions for that year comes true.

IMO, the government isn't ignorant, they just love to play the role of being ignorant. Sooner or later some of that money they throw out ends up in their pocket.

What is the value of the homes? Nobody knows, they are just throwing out random guesses. It is called price fixing.

The government is way ignorant repeating the same ole failed policies.

When we replace them. There is no other way. We have to replace these people with sound, educated politicians and force the enaction of and enforcement of corruption laws. Until we do what we say and say what we do we will NEVER see an end to this BS.

It's not just the money they misappropriate, but a combination of Legislation based on their special interest affiliations as well. They by far, and without a doubt, do not have the people of this nation in mind when considering their political agenda. In essence what they have turned this country into, is an absolute disgrace. But what infuriates me is their ignorance and arrogance when they know we disapprove........
