it's time for the middle class whites to eat some humble pie. The biggest joke going was that they could continue this fantasy...of the last decade.

Time for some tough loving. Stop living beyond your means it's ruining the country, literally killing us.

Save, Work Hard, be a good Family man, and that's it. No more Benzs for 23 year olds. No more 3 million dollar McMansions.

Stop.

Stop.

You're out of control and ruining this nation. At least the wealthy pay their fair share, they buy a big house they'll pay for it, because they have the money and are living responsibly. But, you know it's bad when the shoe shiner starts giving you stock advice. This middle class needs to be taken down quite a few notches.

Check the numbers instead of just spewing simple-minded resentful bile.

The poor pay little in taxes, the rich are able to defer or utilize sanctioned tax avoidance. The sidewalk you walk on, the water that comes out of your tap, is paid for almost totally out of the deductions from paycheck of guess who - the middle class.

What was that about white?

Actually, the top 10% of earners pay 70%. It is a myth the wealthy avoid paying taxes through deductions. Deductions and credits only go so far, and may make things a little more fair, but they certainly don't get many out of paying taxes.

How do you people not realize that the economic crash is ENTIRELY psychological, and that by spreading fearmongering material like this with a straight face, you are PROPAGATING IT?!?!? There is still as much goods, material, and workforce in the US (and the world) right now as there was before the crash. And it's all as equally valuable (in a survival sense) as it was before. The US consumer economy is psychologically driven by advertising. (they don't produce anything). By scaring people further, and preventing them from spending you are slowing the flow of water through the wheel that is the economy. The economy loses momentum (creashes) and people starve until some future psychologioacally unifying event such as a war. You want to stop the crash? Stop #ing talking about it.

If that really is the case, then my information is out of date. The figures I recall showed paycheck deductions as the largest single source.

Maybe things have changed more than I realize.

ok, the public get into debts they know they cant pay off, (i mean yes, there are the greedy bankers, but just because something is on offer u dont HAVE to take it) and now the economy is a mess they are looking for scapegoats.

i actually live in britain, and the euro is obviously now doing well, i was always all for the euro too i think its the way forward. It's time for the amero over there, an thats a good thing.

The amero isnt some NWO thing, i dont see the conspiracy at all. the people get greedy and f**k up the economy, and the gov't would only be serving you to replace the currency.

I really hope we get the euro in the uk real soon.

I think now would be a good time to invest in farmland. Large communal groups that work together and survive on their own. You want socialism not communism. Socialism everyone works together for the good of all everyone helps and everyone contributes in a meaningful way. work hard and enjoy the fruits of your labours literally. The Hutterites and Amish people have done it for many many years and with little gov't interference.

Anyone foolish enough to doubt that the "crash" is psycological should check the current amount of dollars floating around and how many more is being printed as we speak.

The dollar is going, going, gone.

And then what you ask?

100,000 USD for a loaf of bread?

This is a good time to invest in land and look closely at how the Hutterites and Amish people work together relatively free of gov't interference. Self sufficiency over gov't economic dependency is the key to survival. It will take a lot of blood sweat and tears but at least you and yours will be alive and fed and able to see the fruits of your labour rather than the gov't taking your money. Also for those who cannot get land stash food and water and lots of it. Do it quietly, tell no one! That way no one can take it from you if times get rough. Prepare for a hurricane and when the storm comes hopefully you can ride it out safely and quietly. Look seriously into getting off the grid. Try not to use credit cards or debit cards cash on the barrel head only, work under the table, cash cannot be traced. Barter and trade services with neighbors, that will go a long way all the way around. This is how you survive when money has no value when $5 may as well be $500 may as well be $50 000. Bulk food supliers and dollar stores (everything for $1) are your friends right now, utilize them. You can wring your hands or you can make plans, if nothing comes of it then you have provisions for natural disasters, however if the brown stuff hits the fan in a very bad way you have provisions to get you by and the knowledge of how to survive in a very hostile world. Only the truly stupid and arrogant say "it can't" or "it wont happen to me" wake up! It can and it may very well happen to you. History repeats itself over and over sometimes in the same place sometimes in different places but post war Germany is a good example. People turned aside their faces and watched good people get hauled away to concentration camps labeled enemies of the state and most didn't make it back. People in war torn countries go hungry and starve it can happen here don't say it won't. Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't really out to get you. Good luck and be well and stay safe.

Is this really the 2nd Great Depression, or even "The Greater Depression"? I hope not, but I just pray my family can get through it. I have four children, four dogs, one cat, and one wife (of course). I only have one job (I say only, because I usually have two or three plus my online business (www.findmycards.com). I'm having a very tough time looking for another job. Well not looking for one; that's easy. Finding one is the hard part. The thing is I really need that second job, my business is failing (and on sale for $100,000, including half a million worth of merchandise!) and I need the dough. like a Baker at 3am. Anyone want to hire a tutor with a Master's Degree? ten bucks an hour, and I have materials, Bachelor's in Early Childhood Ed. and Master's in Adult Education. I'm a steal! I don't know how to add a signature, so I'll make my own..

I do believe we need to bring back the gold standard, stop giving money away, not only to "Americans," but to the World.

Charities will still take care of those too poor to work, or sick, or old and alone, and those who can sit home get preggers and have babies will no longer be paid to do that.

Families will take care of families. Did we have all these "old folks homes" when I was 10? I don't think so.

Immigrants will have sponsors, learn English, and get a job.

No one gets Social Security until they have "paid" enough into it.

Bring back the draft. It will do us good, and make men and women out of are kids. It will also teach them responsibility and purpose (which we as parents have somehow sadly lacked doing).

McDonald's and Burger King will hire people that speak and understand English, and won't have to point at pictures

In the Capitol of the US, Washington, DC, you won't feel like a foreigner.

You should know your neighbors, and not be afraid to open the door of your secure condo.

Think about it. According to the media (and no, I don't trust them as far as I can throw my tv set) if you were born in 1952, and turned 6 in 1958, the price of 1st class US postage is raised to 4¢ from 3¢ where it had been for 26 years (it will go to $ .44 this year), there were 492 TV stations (now over 1200), NASA was created, in the worst recession since World War II, nearly 5.5 million people are out of work (today over 11.1 million Americans are out of work, jobless rate is over 7%, there is a 55.9% business failure (about 90% from '92 to 2000, and, nowan over $10 trillion national debt, go to: www.brillig.com...).

Can everything be solved by going back to the gold standard? No. As Americans you have to stay on your Congresmen, Senators and Reps, to change what is wrong. This is not a party issue. it is a right issue. And, we as a Nation have to start somewhere.
Be afraid, very afraid...
