I need help finding the subject of The False Prophet in Revelations

Where is he discussed in the Bible?

The False Prophet?

I remember reading about him, but now I'm having trouble finding the chapter he was mentioned in.

A little help would be greatly appreciated...

I have a little theory to throw out on ATS, but I'm trying to gather and confirm what I read was true.

I think you are meaning the antichrist who is supposed to trick the world. Revelations, it's not a very long chapter so just skim through till you start seeing the beast mentioned. I maybe wrong but I am pretty sure this is what your looking for.

Revelation 16

12And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

13And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.


Revelation 19

19And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

20And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

21And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Revelation 20

9And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

10And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

11And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

Don't know if it will help, but in many places Jesus describes the anitchrist is anyone not believing in or following him.

I personally believe that though absolutely true and authentic, much of the bible is written in symbolism versus literal.

I believe in the Baha'i Faith...that God's plan for us is to always supply us with his word and plan through a series of manifestations that he chose for us, his prophets, in a certain time and place. And yes, many have been false....."you will know them by their fruits," Jesus told us.

That since Jesus, Son Of God, there has been Muhammad as God's prophet, the Bab (pronouced Bob, which means the GATE), whose purpose was to tell us to prepare for Bahau'llah, such as John The Baptist prepared man for Christ. Bahau'llah was to teach us to come together as nations, and no one will come after him for at least 1000 years.

Also, this is the end of the old world era, and the begginning of the new, man will not be destroyed.

I think it's fairly clear the beast and false prophet are two separate people.

Rev 19:20And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

It has been my understanding, that satan will make himself like the holy trinity.

Instead of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Satan=The Dragon, will have some sort of power or influence over the Beast and False prophet.
