National Electoral Council chief Tibisay Lucena says with 94 percent of the vote counted, 54 percent have backed the president's proposal. That trend is irreversible.

I'm sure we all knew this was going to happen during his term, it was just a matter of when. Well now we know. This allows him to run in 2012. We'll see how this all plays out...

The votes are rigged. There is no way that the Venezuelan people are that stupid unless if most of the people there are really poor and they have nothing to lose. But I cannot believe it. One way or another Mr Chavez will not be in office that long. Just imagine another Cuba. Most dangerous for the free world.
