I have been a long time reader and fan of the forum, and the topics covered. It's good (or bad???) to see that the issues being raised in the forum are the same the world over. Also that there are people who are not afraid to discuss the important issues in an open and helping way.

I have finally signed up so I can partake in the discussions.

I was wondering, are you in near the fires in Victoria? Hows it affecting you and/or family over there? Its a shame to see whats happening...

Thanks for your concern Marty.

We have managed to keep out of the fires thus far *(knocks loudly on desk). It's a shame so many people were not so lucky.

On the plus side, the community and the govenment has rallied around those effected, to an extent that I have not seen before.

But we are not out of the woods yet! No pun intended...
