The US Government giving money to corporations isn't Socialism, it's CORPORATISM. Look it up. Re-educate yourself, there's a complete difference from giving a company billions and trillions of dollars to sharing profits amongst the workers.

Someone once said "If you think health care is expensive now, just wait until its free".

There has been some serious discussions for Texas to secede and I think the time is right. We have 80% of the US refineries, plenty of food, more guns than any other state and we know how to use them. Put boots on all our borders ( we have more military than any other state) , elect Ron Paul as president and we will be a force to be reckoned with.

If this grass-roots movement can get the necessary support I believe it to be very feasible.

Socialism or capitalism or democracy or communism or oligarchy...

They are all the same - controlling the people. Where is hierarchy - there is no true freedom.

Where is money - there is limited freedom - you are as free as your purchasing power.

To free ourselves we need to change ourselves.

Historically the greatest export of the good ole USA is ARMS - military expenditures.

We spend about HALF of the world's approximately ONE TRILLION DOLLARS on weapons.

WHAT IF we stopped using the word socialism which implies that we actually care about
people's needs and started admitting that we are MASS MURDERERS.

The worst problem addicts have is admitting they have a problem.

The USA has a problem - its addiction to military might.

Admit it.

We do not have money for health care or health insurance. But we have plenty of resources to murder under the guise of protecting the Homeland (a Nazi phrase) and National Security and foisting democracy on nations many of which had leaders which did not conform to our military agenda whom our government had assassinated.

Let the record show that it was George W. Bush, the rich Texas Republican, who brought socialism to America, so don't blame it on that African-American Chicago Democrat community organizer who made it into the White House.

The government takeover of the banking and automobile industries not only happened on President Bush's watch, it was also the deregulatory mania of this president's family, beginning with his father, which took this country into such starkly unfamiliar territory.

What a betrayal of free-market capitalism. And who would have thought that it would be the candidates backed by conservative pundits Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh who made it possible?

You actually could trace the destruction of corporate capitalism to the much-ballyhooed "Reagan Revolution" of the movie actor who got his main training for the presidency as a huckster for General Electric, where he honed the message of "getting government off our backs." The revolution of unfettered corporate capitalism led to an era of unfettered corporate greed, which sowed the seeds of its own destruction.

I do NOT care about other peoples needs, I ONLY care about my own needs and the needs of my own family! And that is enough for me to handle and care about!

Socialism = feeding the pigeons, and we all know what happens when the pigeons learn where to find free food. Socialism lower productivity and it is demoralizing and creates dependencies. I mean, why would anyone need to work so hard if they can get what they need for free?

Grow up humans and stop making demands of others to satisfy your needs and desires. Worry about and take care of your own asses and then the only asses that we might need to help are the people that really need the help of others, such as the handicapped and elderly. There is no damn reason why a non-cripped pigeon needs free whatever from another.

Socialism is enslavement of some for the benefit of others, blatant theft, and that is clearly immoral. Socialist have a twisted sense of what is fair. Get off other people backs and get your fingers out of their pockets.

I ask again .. Why don't you socialist lovers play pick pocket among yourselves and leave all of those that hate being someone else's slave ALONE? Hum? Go play commie among yourselves if that is what you want. Just do it. If you want to give a third of your income to strangers and career breeders to sit at home popping out babies instead of using that money to help yourself and your own family, just do it. You don't need a socialist government to play socialism among yourselves. Heck, if you want, I'll send you my bills and you can pay them for me if that will make you all happy, ha.

Gee, the pick pockets sure like to lay pity stories and guilt upon others while they reach around and pick your pockets and jack your blood, sweat, and dollars.

One has only to read this thread to realize why America is going down the drain.

Why would anyone want to invest right now? What is the incentive? Oh to get robbed blindly by the frauds who control the market? No thanks. I wont be investing another dime in the stock market or anything for that matter except for silver and gold until I see heads fall. Yes that means I want to see these crooks who put us in this mess go to jail. Until then you wont see a dime of my money.....

Oh, I don't know about that. As I read this thread, I get the impression that most people are against socialism. If we can fend off socialism, America may not go down the drain. But, if we keep heading in that direction, heck yeah, this nation will end up like the old USSR ... FLUSH! Of course, that may not be a bad thing. It might be the only solution. Divide this nation in half, with some states for all the socialists to occupy, and other states for all the freedom lovers. A win/win solution for all. (of course, I have no idea how a new nation filled with only socialists will find any pockets to pick among themselves, ha)

If you want to save America, FIGHT socialism. Wealth is not something one creates by picking another persons pocket .. wealth is something that you must work to create! Taking money from others only makes us all poorer and morally bankrupt. The old USSR should have clearly demonstrated what eventually happens when your whole social system becomes dependent upon picking someone else's pocket for your lunch money.

The financial crisis we are having has occurred because "private businesses (the banks & financial institutions)" were not being regulated and supervised.

This is what happens when the fox is allowed to supervise the hen house (all the hens are now dead / eaten by the fox).

Socialization would actually put everyone on an equal footing and not just the people who have the most money (owners & heads of private businesses).

We already have "socialized institutions", Fire Department, Police, Schools, Libraries and Army.

As a country we are now run by and dictated to by the large Corporations. We have not been a country run by the people and for the people for many years.

This came about by Corporations giving tons of their money to certain Presidential Campaign Candidates that they knew would be "appreciative" of their "contributions".

Many laws that were put into effect behind the people's backs are for the benefit of businesses at the expense of the common (working) person.

We are in the finanical crisis we are in because the elite class (that are the owners of our largest corporations) are now bringing the middle class to it's knees.

The middle class is going to be the ones through higher taxes that will pay for the "financial crisis" in actuality the upper elite people who own and operate the financial institutions know exactly what happened, they are aware of every single penny and it's movement.

Now, how come we the common working people are going to end up paying for this charade and the people still walking off with tens of billlions of dollars in profit are not being procescuted for the biggest money heist in history?

Nobody in "the private business sector" is being procecuted or held accountable"????

Why, because government and "private industry" have already been bed partners for a very long time. They've just kept their affair very secret and you're not aware of it.

Socialism means equality for all supervised by an IMPARTIAL GOVERNMENT. (Not bought by the elite rich).

Capitalism means He who has the most money writes the laws - and that is exactly what has been happening.

and

He who has the most money controls (and owns) the media and thus the information the people are "fed" so as to "keep them in line" and rebellion to a minimum.

All kinds of dirty games being played and the majority of people are too dumb to see what's really going on.

The socialist bailout is the begining of the socialistisms that will spread like herpes.

The TARP bailout was the non socialistist bailout so its okay IMO.

I suggest you be a patriotic and only support the not socialistism bailouts.

This BAIILOUT is SOCIALISTISIT because no GOP ( real americans ) voted for it .

This person is right! Do what we do best, show them who's right. What a better way is there?
