You said "Ultimately the outcome will be a Nesara type legislation which end the peoples debt inservitude once and for all."

Interesting idea. Care to expound on that? That's one scenario which would free the people's money to purchase goods and services rather than continue enriching the rich by exhausting their earnings primarily toward payment of interest, more interest, and more interest after that, and for penalties, and fees.

Hey, they had more important things to do. Don't you realize that Monday is a holiday for federal employees? It had to be passed today so that those hard-working people in DC could have a well deserved holiday weekend. With as much work as they put in, they deserve it....they know it, so they didn't need to read it. They had holiday plans to get to.

....after leaving for a bit to go vomit....

The Dems have the power now and they are showing that they are not shy about wielding it.

They don't work for us; they work for themselves.

And, it is sickening. Every freaking part of this is sickening.

Aside from tagging "Democrat" on this obviously disturbing evidence, she couldn't have said it better.

skeptic, this kind of BS isn't excluded to Democrats. In fact, I'm pretty sure the Republicans have used this tactic far more than the Democrats have, in recent terms. In other words, I agree with you, but your blame is highly misplaced. Instead of taking sides, lets view the entire picture eh? Live and learn before you read and weep. Not the other way around. Your party hasn't done anything helpful either, my friend.

It wasn't a third, it was 20%. So, how does a tax cut not benefit anyone?
I, personally love when the government stays out of my pocket.

NOT from what I have read... Well in this case there is a $500.00 per $1,000 for couple for low to middle income TAX PAYING Americans - There has been a sizable slash in the (AMT), A special claus for small business that allows for five year long deduction as opposed to two...

Jesus, though last two tax items are thing conservative were calling for during the election.

There is a five hundred dollar increase to P grants, which will help AMERICA compete (IMO).

There is about 50 billion for states suffering from an influx of unemployed.

Anyways, there is nothing wrong with tax cuts IMO unless they target the top 1%
as was the case in 2001.

ALL and all I think some of you are going on hype, not reading. As I have said before, f this is a clear case of plenty of business to be had but little capital to invest and buy.

In that case the money supply NEEDS to increase,,, so unless all off you are going to invest half a trillion dollars soon??? Or end both wars abruptly? Or default on paid for unemployment and COBRA? DEFAULT SS checks?

What is your solution? Give billionaires tax cuts that will only be hoarded in such a crap economy?

Or give the money to new work and laidoff out sourced AMERICANS?
I think we all know there is not much hoarding going on in house holds across AMERICA.

AH and money all ways flow one way, out the bottom and DIRECTLY to the top.
DID you pay your mortgage? PHONE bill?Cell phone bill? Insurance? WE will.

Congress is so out of touch with America, but what gets me, is how Out of Touch the Americans who Elected them are.

You have no one to blame but YOU! You allowed them to do this. You empowered them to do it. By sitting on your comfy couch playing Xbox while the Loud Majority took over. "Oh that right? It doesnt effect me right at this moment, who cares if they take it from me."

Your first paragraph is silly, BROWN shirts

You think the corporate rat race is not a new form of slavery?

BTW socialism requires a consolidation of industry, finance and production, none of which have occurred. Funny thing what do you think POLICE, FIRE, HIGHWAY PATROL,PRISONS, SCHOOLS and libraries are???

I agree with the last two paragraphs...

You bring up a great point. The jobs created will disappear once the contracts have expired. And woes be to the man who has a part-time job who quits it for a full-time/temp job on a government contract, because once the money has ran out, he's just another statistic.

Complaining or even discussing tax-cuts?!!!

haha
... HAHAHA! Guess what, first of all, I LOVE the idea of a Tax-Cut, however you want to call it. However, I won't get my hopes up, the DEBT OF THIS BILL, far and away overbalances ANY tax cut they are going to give us. Even IF you factor the Government Jobs into the equation.

YA and how are all those private jobs coming? PERMANENT?

A million and a half in three months, VERY PERMANENT.

SO why don't you invest in our economy, put your money where you mouth is chum.

We need an influx in capital, pony up, stop the SOCIALISM!

Why don't all of you invest?

How much money is he giving to Catipillar and the CEO still says it won't save any jobs and they will most likely be laying even more people off, this coming moments after Obama told the press the money would help save the 22,000 jobs.....Oh don't forget the good little socialist unions that backed him, they are getting quite a bit aswell.

Oh, this might give us some false hope for a couple of years before we completely crash. Obama, the accidental president. What a joke.

IT is PRIVATE consolidation, not state sponsored takeover and if so, please...?

Plus, this last decade has been a capital consolidation to begin with.

Well I've Read China using their Natural Resources to Secure Better Rates on Government Financed Debt These Days. I Might Be Wrong on This, but, If they Start Doing Things Like This, What's to Stop Other Countries From Doing It? Governments are Getting Desprate and are Considering All Options to Keep Their Debt Afloat.

Not reading AGAIN! - quelle dommage!

Reminds me how the Patriot Act got passed at a time when Congress was afraid to read hard copy mail after the anthrax attacks primarily made via mail were aimed at Democratic Congressmen not long after 9/11. A lot of them were not showing up at work to read email either. In other words, we were shafted.

They had tried to pass a Patriot Act before 9/11, but then they rammed it in after 9/11 - the rest is history - homeland INsecurity...loss of civil liberties and Constitutional guarantees ...the Rule of law... wonka wonga... Viva la Revolucion. Text Navy

NOT READING reminds me of Vanilla Sky movie a few years ago when Tom Cruise said: Americans WILL learn to read again.

This admonishment of course was made 30+ years after the statement made by an _investigator_ after the Kennedy Assassination that AMERICANS DON'T READ. ERGO, the implication was that they would not put two and two together to figure out whodunit or WHY.

Americans and the rest of the world are learning to read again - using the Internet.

All these so called permanent jobs that "might" be created here..will be lame jobs that pay 9 bucks or less an hour, and the real good ones...as usual, corporations will invest that monies overseas...as they have been for the last 20 years which helped to create all this mess to begin with.

Tax cut?.....tax cut!! Heh....the last tax cut given just created more of a problem than it solved...ie...look around.

Dress it up all you want, pounce your keyboard all you want, shove it in people's faces all you want. This stimulus bill wont solve a bloody thing, except fatten up the fat cat pocketbooks even more.

A great quote from an excellent movie..."Its a huge $^&! sandwich and were all gonna have to take a bite"..[Full Metal Jacket]

This is probably the best thing that could happen to you, maybe it will prompt you to pay off your credit cards and save up for what you want, it's the best thing you could do for your country and your next generation.

Not everyone has credit cards, there are a few smart ones out there that didnt buy into the bait trap of living byond the means.

Point here is that they have sapped the ability for the everyday common worker to make gain and get ahead. For every dollar you get in front of the game, along comes some deal that knocks you right back down a peg or two, keeping you barely at the waterline just below the nose.

Now they want the public to take on more weight and expect to be happy little clams...and foot the bill while waiting years before seeing any benefit, which that benefit is a farse, a "hologram" for the lack of a better word. Its not real.

Cheers!!!!

To be quite honest there is the same sort of thing happeneing in australia at the moment...

$42 billion stimulus package by the labour government. The liberal opposition tries to delay it. Many people in support of the labour government saying it's a stimulous package we need to help our economy asap so lets push it through asap. Liberal supporters say we need time to review this stimulous package and shouldn't push it through asap without the liberals reviewing it...

What needs to happen? Well the economy is going down so pushing it through asap would be better to help stimulate the economy. But is it achieveing maximum effectiveness an will it be long term over-all...???

What do we do?

We'll we negotiate with the green party and pledge immediate action on things that are environmentally friendly. The stimulous now gets pushed through because we now have the greens support. Gimme a freakin break!!!

I'm not one for much of an opinion here... as i agree with both the labour major government and the liberal minor government, but to push it through because of a change of heart from the greenies, just seems wrong politically and economically. The right measures need to be made. Not jsut because of the green party getting some of what they want. But because the right measures should be made!!!! Non stop. The right decision should BE made. Not the overwhelming vote to get it on the side the majority want. THE RIGHT FREAKIN DECISION!!!!

Uh, try again sparky, link from page one (others have posted as well);

Warning: HUGE .pdf files

I've downloaded them, Division A is 496 pages and Division B is 575 pages. I got about 10-20 pages into the first one and it pretty obvious that all the info is not in these PDFs. These are scans of a copy that has been edited by hand, with notations in the margin to "Insert 1A" or "Insert 6A". Well guess what, as far as I can tell the inserts are nowhere in the document or on the website. Yeah, transparency my great aunt fanny!

For some that's easier said than done. Ever have a kid born with two bad kidneys that spent 6 months in the hospital? Did your wife have to quit work to take care of him? Did you ever have 2 insurance companies pointing fingers at each other, both claiming the other was your primary insurance? Did you ever donate a kidney to your son only to find out it screwed up your immune system and now your sick all the time (don't get me wrong, I still would have done it even if I had know ahead of time). Ever have to use credit cards to pay for diapers, special formula, anti-rejection drugs and the basic necessities of life because one income just isn't enough?

My point is that people have credit card debt for all kinds on reasons, not just buying expensive toys. This isn't a personal attack, it's a reality check.

This is inexcusable. Any government that operates this way is reckless and devious. Shame on them. They are making a mockery of our system of government. I really wish I could express my anger, but it would all get deleted. It IS time for a revolution.

Whoa Up There! Quit bad-mouthing our ONLY Congress. The Congress has 38,000 employees. To read a bill line by line is the staff's job. Each of the 435 House members (plus 6 delegates) no doubt have staff who know their boss's particular niche. It would take 300 years for any one person to read the current $3.3 t. budget. Criticize yes, but do it constructively.

All this was planned.

No one writes a 1100 page bill that fast. No one reads it. And passing it late on a Friday afternoon....

Suspect anything that happens too fast, and on a Friday afternoon after the week's news cycle is over. Maybe something good will happen and you can run that instead and then the media won't ever have to read it either - maybe the Pilot on the Hudson will get caught smoking out of a bong if the elite are lucky. Who knows?

Who said anything about reading the budget plan. This is about the 1100 page stimulus plan that every member of congress voted should be available to the public to look over for 48 hours before it was voted on. That didn't happen, 48 hours would have been enough, especially with all the staff you speak of. But that didn't fit into Queen Pellosi's plans to sneak stuff through then jet away to Europe.

Cripes, to think that woman is only two bullets away from being President. *shiver*

Reading and understanding are not the same. Reading that X number of dollars goes to this or that project is not being informed unless you know the project and etc. i repeat that being critical is OK but not that they did not READ the bill. I am sure (without knowing) many of the 38,000 employees of the Congress read the bill.

I marvel how so many who made no challenge to Newt or Dennis but who now feign worry over Nancy. Maybe it's because she is patently smarter then the first two?
