Iraqi Governing Council Meant to Fail?

Topic started on 14-4-2004 @ 01:28 PM by Bowser

As I watching Bush's Third primetime press conference, I started thinking about the June 30th date. The day political power is supposed to be handed over to the Iraqis. Most everyone agrees that the date is to early. But what if the US government knows this is and is going forth anyway because they expect the new government to fail. Think about it. The Iraqis claim they need help because they can't gain control of the country so they ask Bush to send troops back over. This would give the US a stronger foothold in Iraq and give us an even stronger grasp on their oil supplies. We would have reason to be in Iraq again espicially since the WMD's still haven't been found.

What do you guys think.

Well, I can tell you what I think about the oil. Take the profit and - the expense of pumping, man power, and running the whole operation. Than Have all Iraqis over the age of 18 finger printed, photographed and give a DNA sample. Also issue State IDs at that time and they have to provide an address. They must be 18 or older. They should do this process for 1 month, and not do it again for a year. In return after the first month of sign-ups the Iraqis people will receive an even % of the oil profits after expenses are paid. In the form of a check in their name sent to their address. I think that would solve quite a few problems.

June 30 is a smokescreen. Once the governing body is in "power", they will petition the US for help, remember that an ambasador will be there, now the US will be there "legally."
