Roof photo bishop 'hit' by police

A bishop who claims he was assaulted by police after photographing his two sons sitting on top of their south London home has threatened legal action.

Bishop Jonathan Blake, 52, pictured the boys, who he said were wearing harnesses, reading books on the roof in Welling as part of a school challenge.

He said he was punched and kicked after his arrest last month, before he was released by the Metropolitan Police.

I'm in a bit of quandry bout this...

On one hand, what the bishop did with his kids is kinda 'way out there', but what the cops did is way out of order.

There may be a bit of irresponsibilty on the bishops part (we don't know the full extent of precautions taken, or lack of) yet this does not give good reason for the actions of the police.

My favourite bit is this...

"We encourage them to do all the things that the nanny state does not want them to do."

Thumbs up to you for that statement.
It seems he obviously practices what he preaches.... and the cops didn't like that

Where's the quandary? Just because you disagree with the Bishop putting the boys on the roof does not add or subtract from the impropriety of what the police did. They are parallel and distinct considerations. There is no quandary. You can disapprove of both events simultaneously without contradiction.
