So since this whole Global Crises thing has begun.. I have begun to notice an increase in complete ignorance directed from and towards the US/EU from citizens of the US/EU

This site is full of the exact same polar opposites from the EU/US. Two groups of people.. almost the exact same, earn the same amount, have the same standards of living, eat pretty much the same food, do pretty much the same general recreational things.. constantly bitching at each other about who has it better/more rights/more freedoms blaa blaa blaa blaa blaa.

NEITHER HAS IT BETTER!!! SO QUIT GOING ON ABOUT IT.

THE EU IS MORE REGULATED WHILE THE US IS SUBJECT TO CONSTANT PROPAGANDA... which would you prefer?? Either one suits me fine... slight socialism vs slight brainwashing? Whatever floats your boat.

The one thing that really pisses me off about it is when someone from the US (or visa versa) who has never been to any EU country (or visa versa) starts going on about how much better their country is.. what is the deal with that? Complete ignorance to any kind of facts whatsoever.. making ridiculous statements based on here say and stories they picked up from some bias hick. No two countries in the EU have the same policies/attitudes.. the same is true for US states.. to generalize either is complete nonsense!

A couple of examples of generally stupid comments made by certain people on this site regularly.. you know who you are... don't make me name you.

Statement one. "I would hate to live in the UK.. it is a nanny state and their government is completely depriving them of the right to do anything."
This statements is completely ridiculous and means absolutely nothing... these usually come from US citizens who have probably never even left their own crappy hick town.. let alone their own state. I visit the UK frequently, its a great and very advanced country.. AND THEY HAVE MORE RIGHTS THAN MOST.

Statement two. "Americans are so brainwashed and stupid.. all they want is war and their government are trying to crash the world economy"
This is also completely STUPID.. fine.. many Americans are stupid and annoying.. but its a HUGE country that is predominantly english speaking.. obviously you are going to come across a lot of war crazed, immature, braindead idiots. BUT.. if you ever bothered to go there, you would see that the vast vast majority are extremely nice.. AND their government is not trying to crash the economy.. GLOBAL BANKERS ARE!

Anyhoo.. seeing as this is on a conspiracy site.. and keeping with the traditions.. I think that I will throw forward the possibility that there is a conspiracy in effect that plans to create such ultra "Nationalism" in the citizens of each group that both will eventually hate each other to the point that we will nuke the bejeezus out of each other..

I think the Chinese are behind it..

Evil commie bastards.

when i doubt, blame the commies!

The US gov't is becoming more and more socialistic in it's approach. Really I think we're pretty much all in the same boat, just bailing water like a mofo and hoping.

And I saw an article recently about how the EU spends almost 2.2billion Euros a year on propaganda.

Oh how the tables have turned

I am not from either of these US/EU that you mention, but i think its fair to say its not just the EU throwing mud at the US its pretty much everybody else aswell wether its justified or not and from the outside it seems the US are throwing mud back as good as they get it and this has been going on since before US fought for its own independance. Regardless of what side of the fence one may be lucky enough to be despite all of todays pressing concerns life has never been better( a highly arguable point in itself ). Just remember if you have a computer and can use its many wonders you are better off than over half the worlds population, maybe not happier but at least you are not eating dirt.

Hmmm... you're right.. those damn Commie's must have also infiltrated the rest of the worlds thoughts as well..

That is correct, i think that with the explosion of connectivity around the world, many from the US especially, who have always been under the impression that the rest of the world is under developed, have gotten into confrontations with people from almost all other developed countries.. this seems to have gotten many of them on the defensive... and therefore also on the offensive..

EUvsUS/USvsEU is the same as just saying EUvsUS, and just makes the post harder to read.

Secondly, it's ordo ab chaos, the elites of the world are much more confortable managing populations that are up in arms (literally or metaphorically) against each other than populations who realise we are all one and who are up in arms against elitists, as would be natural from a moral, and even materialistic, imperative(s).

There is a lot of effort, time and money invested in maintaining a climate of duality and conflict. Should it ever stop the world would change radically, for the better, in just a few years. This is why there is internet censorship and travel restrictions and economic discrepancy, and anything else that could breed ill will between peoples.

Yes but there is always one idiot that'll pull you up over favoritism in relation to the respective placement of each one... so I thought I'd save myself the trouble of having to reply to that post.. Its after backfiring though seeing as I have replied to this one.

True.. also, I don't think humanity will ever really evolve to the point where we can be friends with everyone. I honestly don't think we have it in us.

Quite a few years ago, Im old, there was a movie called Network. About television and corporations. In 1 of the last scenes , Peter Finch states .... there are no borders , no countries , just boardrooms.

Heh, just respond that you used alphabetic order and end the pointless argument over favoritism, which is childish anyway.

I think over 90% of humanity would readily be friendly at a global level. The problem is elitist manipulation. We are, in my way of seeing it, already evolved enough to get along, and probably have always been, we are a social species, that prefers to spend time coexisting and loving rather than in conflict. What we perhaps have not evolved enough to do is to realise that we are ruled by the least of us (the remaining percentile) and that has to stop.

I dont really think that Dermo was saying the global elite have anything to do with this they may be part of the reason but not what this thread is about, ask your friends and colleagues on their thoughts on the world situation, most people i know will point the finger at the US, not the people but the image it projects, as im sure most US citizens have their own views. I think he means more on the way most people throw their opinions around puffing their chests out saying 'we are better than you and here is why', its just human nature and as humans we are not known for our tact.

'Lions being led by Donkeys'

I think this might be possible in the future but as soon a something goes wrong, the blame game begins.. and so does the hate.

When it comes to the global elite and the idea of One world, Im not sure whether you are correct or not. The forcing together of all the countries in the EU has created a large multi nationality bloc with minimum prejudice and conflict so...

No real socialist would call what the EU/US is doing socialism. The proper term here would be Fascism. And for the record, I'm not a socialist.

Not so much in the EU..

For one, there is no EU military or constitution in order to promote Patriotism/Nationalism.
And mainly, corporations cannot tie to the EU government as it is mainly a regulatory body.

And for the record, I'm not a socialist.

Scared of being labelled a socialist are we..

Are there any actual socialist countries left in the world?

Not scared, just don't want to have to defend myself against idiots.
Cuba is pretty socialist I'd say.

I would definitely agree with every point. I've been and lived in both EU and USA and you are absolutely right; they are a lot different, and you have a choice; if you want a social system (universal health care, free mass transit in a lot of places, safer jobs, living better if you are a future mother, and better roads, then choose EU). However, if you'd rather not have to pay for health insurance because you don't want to, not caring about anything else, not having to do this or that, choose the US.
