Military Firearms Publications?

Hi all,

I'm looking to expand my knowledge on all aspects of military weaponary, in particular military assault rifles etc... Are any of you aware of some informative literature/publications worthy of mention? Profuse apologies if such a thread already exists, i've searched endlessly but can't seem to find any such thread..
