So, here is the question.

I am a father of two adorable little toddlers and have a wonderful wife. What am I supposed to do to fight the ever quickening funeral march of the US constitution?

I am willing to take part in social protests and be active in defending my civil liberties, but I do not know what I would do if it caused my family harm.

I have breached the subject slightly with my wife with conversations like...

"man I wounder what would happen if Texas (my country of residence) were actually to leave the union and there were a civil war?"

She clearly expressed her feelings that my responsibility was to my family first not some "ideas". you know better to be alive and oppressed than dead and free.

I told her about my "long term view" of what kind of life I want the kids to have.

So, what can one do when faced with this kind of decision?

Tough questions and one everyone has to answer for themselves. I suppose your first responsibility IS to your family, but at some point people have to step up to the plate and take a swing if things get bad enough. I don't think we are there yet but those days may be coming. In the meantime, I'd say try to educate your kids to be free-thinkers and to be aware of the issues they will face as they reach adulthood...try to keep them away from mainstream kiddie-culture plastic crap and other bad influences (that will be difficult the older the get and when they start interacting with other kids in school, but do the best you can).

I've been thinking the same thoughts, lately.

I sit on the floor and play with my son, and think, "Am I going to give this up?" On the other hand, is my inaction going to lead to my son not being able to do the same when he is older, with his own kids?

What would I have wanted my father to do? I sure liked having him coaching my softball games. Should he have taken up arms back then, so I wouldn't have to consider it now?

I don't have an answer for you. Sorry.

Just wanted to let you know that others, at least me, think about these things, too.

We don't have a revolution yet, and if we did you can use your skills
to support the ppl you prefer indirectly much like switzerland has
in the past, or the USA prior to our entry into WW2.

You can prepare for the survival of your family such as long shelf
life cached food hidden outside your house on rural property preferably.

Make sure it is not just sitting in a barn , etc etc, bury it or hide it
some way and the cooler it is the longer it lasts.

You can give this to ppl you support later or use some for your family.

There are methods of non-confrontational resistance.

I'd say talk to your wife and tell her you see her point,
but you want to prepare for bad times just in case, but
in sensible ways that will benefit your family as well if
the food shipments stop etc etc.

You don't have to go shoot a gun to make a difference.

Learn to be a gunsmith, a medic, an all around survivalist and
pass the knowledge on to those who may need it in the future.

Do not let them stay on your property though, but nearby.

Do not be seen directly associating with them.

This concept is what is referred to as the grey man.

Ppl watch the grey man and think he is all onboard with the federal
plan from casual observation, though a trained observing that
takes some time might notice otherwise.

The NWO crowd is gonna be busy with the VERY active folks,
and will not have time to watch you for days.

You just need to make sure and watch your words in town and
around other ppl, even though you do want to speak out, it
will not be a good thing for your family.

Ppl will turn on each other when the "truth squads" start having
neighbors rat each other out, etc etc much like in the days
of nazi germany.

I admire your courage, but I will not even be taking this course,
my plan is to fall off the map so to speak.

I will not be involved on either side actively or indirectly.

Just looking to ride out the storm and be out of sight and out of mind.

I respect the founding fathers and those who want those ways back,
but I am not going to die so we can just repeat history yet again,
and statistically speaking that is the most likely event.

Ron Paul tried to get the word out and most of America prefers
socialism and do not see the coming fascism.

We keep making the same mistakes in history.

Maybe some day we will break the cycle, but we have sociopaths
in charge and they act otherwise, but their actions speak louder
than their words.

We may have brilliant and humane scientists, but they are not in charge.

We have out popularity marketing ppl who give good face who are
more or less showman salesmen vs. ppl that can engineer a society.

Not going to die for a cause, that will in turn just lead to same crap
200 yrs later, or likely sooner.

Really the best thing you can do at the moment.

Educate yourself in the above.
And keep educating yourself, and your wife.
You need her full support behind you.
If not you're doomed from the get go.

Good Luck!

peace

Totally agree with you.

The children are the future, so we need to make sure they don't
go down the road we have thus far.

Without the children the dream dies in a generation.

You are a dad, the father figure, you cannot let your family even begin to think that you are worried about the future, or they will bend to the wind even more than you are bending to the wind of worrysome tales of what the future might bring.

Be with your family more. Go out and learn how to dig a water well, even if you don't have land yourself. If you do have land, then great. This is a family project, don't let some driller come in and do the work; you and your family need to learn how to get water if something goes wrong in the future, if the water supply becomes polluted from dead decaying bodies floating in the water. But don't let your family know why you have decided its time for everyone to learn how to get water.

If something does happen, you will all need to have good clean water that is not polluted, and water from the ground is usually not polluted unless you are just in a bad area, if so, then don't dig for water there. Learn how to use a "sand bucket" and PVC PIPES and a shovel to dig a well. Get a small manual hand pump to pump the water later on, just in case the electricity goes out.

Just remember if something does go wrong, your hand pump will be worth a lot of gold! and.... gold will be worth basically nothing, because you can't eat it, and there will more than likely be a lot less people around if something does happen, and they sure won't want silver or gold, they will want clean potable water and food. So....

Spring is coming on, and its time to get out there with your family and learn how to grow food for your family; but all of your family will need to learn how to grow food; you will need water to grow the food, therefore you will need the well, and the knowledge of how to put in a well.

Let your family buy seeds and plant them. Don't use machinery like rototillers that are gas powered, because gas may not be around in the future; but a garden hoe, shovel and rake will surely fit everyones hand.

Learn how to raise worms with your family, and how to grow catfish in a barrel. All of this might be needed if worse does come to worse, because you will know how to sustain yourself without others help.

www.kurtsaxon.com...

Learn how to survive; water and food come first in survival.

Your family is more important, and you will have a better family life if you work together.

But...... never ever speak that you are worried. You are the Man of the Family and they all look to you as the leader, and if they see a weak leader then doubts will infect their minds and trouble will begin.

There is no need for you to be worried at this time, unless of course you and/or your wife have lost your jobs. If you and her haven't lost your jobs, then you are doing good.

Remember the three basics are FOOD, SHELTER and CLOTHING.

I have had conversations like this with my friends... I mean, whether parents will give a crap about the world that their kids will have to grow up in.

Personally, I think female parents are the main people in this society trying to get MORE government control over us. For example, the way they band together in stupidly large numbers to express outrage for Sponge Bob. And stating that video games might make their kid violent - we must ban them. Music might make their kid violent - we must ban it. Guns might make their kid shoot itself - we must ban them. Gay marriage might make their kid gay - we must ban it.

I know, this doesn't include dads as much, just irresponsible mothers that think society must babysit their offspring, instead of themself.
Hey, not putting down all females. I babysit what mine has access to. Everyone else can do the same.

As for the topic of discussion... I often wonder if parents will be worthless if it ever came to fighting for freedom. Instead just turning themselves over, at the promise of food for their offspring, if things got bad...

As for me... I will be where I am needed.

My mom is to take my little one, and keep her wherever safety might be....Hopefully to have a better world in the end, than what is being offered to us now, thanks to everyone that does think freedom is important enough to preserve.

EDIT: Typo... fixed now.

Well I agree with you on the leaving the union, my state Ca would be happy leave as well.

I think all of our ideaology is ruining this country... I would love for there to be a place where conservatives can live without taxes, without gun laws...

Same with a liberal place where a man could marry goat if that was his thing, healthcare was a right...

as far as taking action maybe you should run office?

I had a friend move to a different country and he is very happy now...

Don't know... as long as Texas just wants to be Texas and left alone I'm all for it!
