I have a pretty solid job, well sort of. I work for UPS and been there for almost 9 years, there might always be work, everyone will always ship something somewhere, no matter how much economy will fail right? anyhow, i drive semi trucks, however, im pretty low on the list, so if there is no work in the semi truck department i can bump down to package delivery guy because there are plenty of guys bellow me as far as seniority goes. if there is no work there i can bump people in the warehouse and load unlock trucks... so im just saying, i might get laid off from different departments with the company, but i can bump lower guys to move to lower departments. since i climbed up a latter of seniority, i can just do the same with climbing down if i MUST work....

I, however, have a choice to stay home if my department doesnt offer me semi truck work... i choose to since there is no work in my semi department. Honestly, im discouraged to work because my money is being stolen, given away left and right, everyone else gets it. I have to work hard for it and i get about $2,000 in taxes taken from me a month.... why would i want to work? why would i want to work a 12 hour shift if i get paid almost as much as if i was to work an 8 hour shift (since they tax the crap out of us even more with OT!!!!) Why should i want to earn a dollar if they are purposely trying to crash the dollar?? This is so stupid!!! while people stuff their pockets with my cash, give it to illegals, support some wars for no reason, and pay off my own banks that we keep out money in.... WHY!!??? so no... this is my way of not paying taxes.... think about it, if i work im giving government $22,000 a year.... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!!!!!!!! they can suck it.

I have a flexible part time job at home as a hobby, restoring older cars and selling for a profit, so far its still doable so im trying to do it. Once that no longer works i can maybe move on to something else.

i instead stay home, live with dad, hang out with my fiance, sold all my vehicles, jetskis, dirtbikes, street bike, have one more car to sell and ill just have a daily beater truck for a daily driver. I like staying home doing stuff productive and in a way preparing myself for the worst to come.

I saved up enough money to maybe buy a smaller house somewhere further from the city, Dad I and my fiance thinking about getting a house and all live together, live off the land.... we grew up on farms in Europe and i would give anything to go back to my old life (with exceptions of some money for support of course)

WE DONT NEED THE GOVERNMENT! ALL they do is take from us, and stab us in the back, lie and steal from us.

I have looked at a few nice properties about 1-2 hours from the city where my job is... i would have loved to buy and move there, but my job is the only thing thats holding me back. i have 20 more years to go and i can retire at 49.... but will it be worth it? Yes, sure if things get better, sure... but do i really want to dedicate another 20 years.... and give the government $440,000!!!!!!! in that period..... ARE YOU SERIOUS?!!!!!!

Can someone please tell me this is a bad dream!!!!!!

Am i seeing things completely differently than it should be seen am i missing something??

And that, kind sir, is why the liberal form of economics fails. This is the crap that has been going on since Reagan, and even farther back.

Nobody try and tell me Bush was a Republican who are conservative, I know what he CLAIMED. Fact is he was a NeoCon Republican with a liberal spending agenda.

My advice? Move to someplace cheap. Don't worry about your retirement. If the company is still around, they won't be paying it out anyway. Live on the land, sell some goods or cattle. Oh, and if you're in America, get Ordained.

You can use your ordainmenship to start a church on your land, and then you don't have to pay taxes on it
In most places, you only need two converts to get started.

Yes it sucks. This is the exact reason this country needs to abolish the IRS and set up a firm sales tax. This way the more you consume the more you pay, the less you consume the less you pay. It's simple.

This country is so concerned about it's bottom dollar that it will take an Army from hell to abolish the IRS though. All we are to the government is employees that constantly make them more and more money.

I hear you big time.

I drive semi's too and just did a 13 hour shift. OT gets taxed heavily here too. They keep on making reasons to slowly take more and more, and it's not going to suddenly stop.

Money needs to be done away with.

Well its an MLM scheme you see.
You work for a company, which is higher up than you in the MLM scheme.
And you make them $10,000 a day, and they pay you $100.
Out of which the company takes a commission from your 100 to give to the highest level in the scheme which is the IRS.
And then the company give a commission from that 10k you made them, to the highest level in the MLM scheme which is the IRS.
But the company doesn't have to give as much on the dollar as you, because they are taking some from you already and many others.
The more lower members they have under them taking commission from, the less commission they pay.
The higher up you are, the less commission you pay.
Because you take more commission from more lower members.

i was once fined $1000 for driving an unregistered vehicle. in court Judge SOB told me i was stealing the road from which every good person who pays registration owns. i thought, "you f*%ker!"
so go figure
if you don't pay tax your stealing from everyone else.

its getting to be a hard life indeed. Its hurtful when you make what you deserve and yet someone takes it without earning it but just because they can.

i would LOVE to get out of here!!! go to another country all together, just live my life, grow my food, knowing that what i make is mine to keep. it would be more encouraging to actually work harder knowing its for me and my family not for some greedy loser.

how about a sail boat, fish for food, or a deserted island, cast away, LOST anyone??? haha oh how i would loooooveee it

anyone know of good cast away islands, live off the land cities, countries, tows? throw your ideas out

For every one of us who complains the more we work/make the more they take there are a hundred others out there laying on their faces day after day, sucking down liters of cheap booze day after day complaining that government isnt giving them cable TV and nose jobs for free.

The independent will never have the numbers to defeat the dependent in any sort of democracy.

The only way to show them the misery of getting what they want would be to stop earning/producing/paying and let the system go bankrupt (though it's been bankrupt technically for years now and it hasnt stopped anything) and let every American see what real dependence is like. Unfortunately the only way to escape a totally dependent state like that is violent revolution.

Just talk to your friends and neighbors and anyone with a shred of common sense will eventually see the epic failure that a dependent state is. Even with all of those converts I'm still not sure we'd outnumber the leeches.

WHY SHOULD I WORK IF GOV TAKES MY $$!!!

The answer to that is because the government and a majority of Americans who voted them into office feel that the government is better at spending your (but not their own, as shown by Barry's cabinet) money. Welcome to Socialism!

How would you get to work if your government didn't fund the roads you use to get there?

Your taxes are SUPPOSED to be used to create the infrastructures around you.

If it werent for those roads contributing to sprawl most of us wouldnt have to travel to get to work. Besides, those roads are paid for with local fees like vehicle tax and registration, and property tax.

The roads can all crumble to dust for all I care.

The short version of working is that you work for money which can be redeemed for the things you need in order to survive in this society. If you had a piece of land that you could farm, hunt, and general produce everything you needed on a job would become unnecessary (until tax on said land came into play). In short we work because we want to survive and have some sense of stability and security (eg house, food, etc). Find me a way to have land that you don't have to pay taxes on every year and you will have truly found freedom from the system.

How did we work before they did that?
We worked just fine, remember, before the Income tax?
Sure we mostly rode horses, but still we didn't have to pay commission to the MLM scheme.
Oh wait, then they started up the Horse tax.

That's not the short version.

You have to pay tax to do anything. You cant have a self-sustaining piece of land in America without a tax. To pay that tax you need an income. Earning an income means you have to pay taxes on said income.

The short version is we pay taxes because if we dont a bunch of jack-booted thugs funded and armed by tax dollars will kick in your door and shoot you dead.

Say I own land outright. Say I am not hooked up to any "utilities". Say I have no kids in your government schools, no vehicles on your roads, no deliveries of any sort, and for all intents and purposes no road leading to my land.

Why the hell so I have to pay a tax on the land I own? I would be a close not existing at all as I could possibly be and still the government would have a gun to my head demanding payment.

Taxation is the most evil creation on this Earth. Supporters of any form of taxation are nothing short of tiny satans themselves forcing indentured servitude from birth to death.

If taxation werent the most evil force on Earth there would be a way to opt-out. The only ways currently to opt-out are to be dead, a homeless vagrant or in prison.

Good point, we don't have property tax here.. If you own your land, you own it. The idea of a property tax actually really annoys me.

Also a good point..

I would agree with you more in relation to my own country if a large portion of my taxes didn't go into a social insurance policy that will support me if I lost my job and house, became ill or wanted to further my education.. while also contributing to helping some of those who are less fortunate.

But, they do so you can call me a """""""socialist""""""" if you like but this is why I don't mind paying mine.

Income Tax is a criminal racket.

I'm satisfied with paying property taxes, all the utility taxes, gas taxes and sales taxes, but income tax I try as best I can to avoid it.

If you work for a company like UPS they have to pay into the Racket - in order to operate without being targeted by those who enforce the racket. So, if your going to take the easy route by letting someone else do all the thinking for you, you're going to have to pay into the racket.

There are several solutions to not pay income tax.

The primary solution is to become self-employed - run or own your own business. Yes, you still have to pay state B&O taxes and collect sales taxes for them and even possibly pay a state income tax.

The bottom line though is - if you're self employed - you decide how much income you generate, you can trade goods & services for goods & services - and although it may be deemed illegal - the person trading would have to snitch you off - which would be snitching themselves off and for most petty trades nobody is going to care enough to investigate as there's nothing worth chasing. For years I never paid for a hair cut cause I fixed the barbers kids computer. Many people are willing to make trades and many will pay cash. The way I see our tax money wasted, stolen and squandered I figure I'm putting my fruits of my labor to better use and I created it.

Of course there's legal ways to keep from making a profit and paying necessary taxes, by investing any potential profit into your business - thus there is no profit, zero or little taxes. Eventually you will have to pay taxes when you pull the money out of the business, but then you decide when you pay.

My other solution is stretch your money out so you don't need as much - be frugal. Limit eating out, buy quality clothing that will last long, by second hand items when you don't need brand new, don't drive or buy new cars it's really a waste, quit buying chasing unnecessary consumer goods that you don't need and will not make your life any better - Grow a garden, fix your own house, build your own furniture etc. Make your life better by not having to work as much for these products and go fishing, hiking or whatever you like doing instead.

Yea but they aren't supposed to bail out "too big to fail" corporations.

They aren't supposed to fund the bonuses of Wall Street CEO's that ruined the economy.

They aren't supposed to fatten an increasingly larger government that doesn't fix the infrastructure but instead creates more dependent constituencies to further increase power.

They aren't supposed to pay for the interest of the printed money that is created by the Fed. Imagine that, the Fed prints money out of thin air, we work and sweat fro it, and pay a huge portion of it back with taxes and still have to borrow more printed money because there is never enough to pay for the interest.

But the insurance policy, is not to support you, its simply to get you paying commission to the MLM scheme again.

Its simply an investment in the MLM scheme, to get people paying commission again.
If you didn't have to pay all that money all that time while you worked for the company MLM scheme, then you would have MORE money when you weren't earning money for a period of time.
And wouldn't NEED the insurance policy.

It isn't that you don't mind paying it, its that you have been socialized, brainwashed, into thinking its a good thing.
You've been told what you need, and you believe that someone else is a better judge of what you need, than you.
