There's no money left to distribute after the last eight years of crony giveaways!
Better to distribute back to the people instead of your crony corporate buddies, isn't it Tex? Or not?
Liberals are grown up enough to decide whats best for themselves. Conservatives think government needs to decide whats best! They care about more power, more money, more oppression. Liberals care about people. Which do you care about: war,money,power- or -people, peace & campassion for others. Seems to me liberals are progressive. Conservatives would be the opposite. Actually promoting the very one world government their bible predicts will befall them! What a revelation!
Now thats settled, I agree the problems are too big to be taken care of by anyone. It would take a total change we won't do. We are set in our primitive selfish thinking. After the train wreck left for the current administration, I wouldn't be surprised if all that can be done is make the fall more palatable! Thanks for helping these crooks! Just write your checks to the banks like you would anyway!

Star for you! While I do think it is worth a try. I don't think it will do much good. The game is played. The pattern is set. Will not matter much what we try at this point. All that will be tried is prop up a failed system. All while rewarding the corrupt. For how long this can be kept up is anyones guess. We need a complete infrastructure, housing and social change based on sustainability! We won't do it. We will squabble over a few million while giving the banks HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS with no accountability!
All while people lose their jobs and go hungry in this country? Makes me so proud!

It would take alot more than a few letters to change much at this point. The real people in charge do not have to answer to anyone! Actually congress does have the authority to intercede on our behalf, but a little intimidation would fix that I'm afraid.

Problem reaction solution people. I'm amazed that the people haven't gone completely mad yet.

I personally feel that this is just another in a long long list of grievances towards the American people. There trying to push our buttons, do you really believe that they are that stupid? They want us to all stirred up, do something stupid.

It will come to a point though that they may loose control of there own game.

It won't end until they have their sticky little fingers in any liquidiity fund and Obama is appointing Trilateralists to finish off the job.

I read the financial news every day ad nauseum. I watch cpsan and listen to them in congress.
I actually read the legislation they pass.

While I hate to keep posting, this is really easy to figure out. They are either really farging stupid or there really are a few certain families that run pretty much the whole world. Pick your poison. Either way is not pretty! Thanks for the thread and posts. I'm glad people want to know where their kids and grankids's money is going! Doubt if it will ever change but you cant say you wernt warned and to be prepared for anything!

The people in the congressional district that he does represent need to have their voting rights removed! along with anyone that voted to re-elect incumbants and voted to give the socialists a majority and control of all 3 branches of government.

If you ask me congress should be limited to 2, 6 year terms and then they are done in washington. no more of this BS serving in the house or senate for unlimited number of terms. you get 2 terms. no more of this serving in congress then running for potus and no more of this serving in the congress then taking a cabinet position!

while I'm at it they need to abolish the fed! The fed helped cause the great depression, then durring the depression slowed the recovery out of it! History repeats itself! Don't believe me, look at what the fed is doing now Publicly saying they are doing all they can to stop the recession, they wouldn't even admit until dec. that we had been in a recession for over a year. now that the U.S. is in a depression once again the fed won't even admit it now.

they need to force all of the banks to open their balance sheets, Wipe them clean and do the same with all the people. let everyone start over. But no more credit! the majority of people cannot live within their means and they don't need the temptation of credit to feed their addiction.

Their is something like 19 million empty houses currently in the U.S. no one knows how much they are worth because there really isn't a market for houses. so why don't the government seize these houses and auction them off to people that don't own a home?

The government wants to stimulate the economy, and i agree it needs stimulating, But this stimulis bill is not stimulis it is an outright socialist speanding bill! It will not create jobs and if by some chance it does we won't see those jobs until atleast 2010- 2011.

The socialist in charge of congress thinks they can spend your money better than you can. I got news for them I make a hell of alot better purchises then congress does. at least i don't waste my money on crap i really don't need.

I'm so sick of the stupid americans that keep voting to send these crooked bastards back to Washington. Who voted to give the socialists control of all 3 branches of government. I'm so sick of the hipcryts on this board that were so hell bent on voting in the socialist they voted in a guy that has no expeirence. who will do more harm to this country than BUsh did and he did a lot of damage, they voted in the socialist who are the same cracheads that will look you in the eye and ask you to volunteer to hand over your pension fund to help this country and in exchange we'll promise an 8.5% return on your investment. Even though they know they have no intention of making good on their promise and go ahead and seize everyones retirement funds!

All you people that voted in Obama and his socialist buddies, I hope your happy and don't you dare cry when you realize that you were duped! the only change your going to get is that loose change you got in your pocket right now. thats all you'll have left when Obama and co. are done with you.

Well, it has to be, doesn't it? And it maybe BOTH. There's a small group empowered by a lot of completely clueless politicians.

But now,ok, that is resolved, what I can't figure out is, why other people can't figure this out and why people are not upset about it?

So,they are proposing a bill that will make the looting of the national treasury legal this is just the first step before they bail on us and leave the country in ruins.It's called treason folks plain and simple.

The "socialists" would like to give the people some money for a change instead of the rich corrupt banker types getting it all.(again) Would be nice for a change, unfortunately the money was already spent fighting cheney's war! Some people just don't get it. They will not take from the rich and give to the poor. They are taking from the Middle class and giving it to the poor and the rich.
I guess that's ok if you don't want to work hard and "earn" a good living.
If your lazy and just want everything to be handed to you.

So did you read where the govt GUARUNTEES the assets and the return? That is unbeatable. You aren't even speaking with anything resembling knowledge. Even if the bank became insolvent as you state, it is govt guarunteed. For that to go bad, anything else you could put money into would go bad as well.

But you are right, I would never put a cent of non-guarunteed money into a bank stock. I am market neutral right with heavy exposure to metals. Occasionally using SKF to short the financials on market run ups.

Pretty much explains the mentality for sure! The thing that gets me is it is STILL working. The money is being siphoned out of the country at a record pace! We are on a road to nowhere and people wont believe it even if they are in a homeless shelter begging for food. They see stories of the banks getting bailouts for stupid things. How does that look to anyone with a half a brain? As long as we accept it, we will be used and abused I guess. Oh well life goes on...
