"Didn't you "ooh" and "aah" when Angelina and Brad had little Shiloh?"

No.

"Didn't you go nuts when Brad and Angelina had the twins?"

No.

"What about Jennifer Lopez and Skeletor and their precious bundles of joy."

No.

"The media pay this kind of money because you....yes and you...and you over there... demand to see pictures of America's royalty."

No I don't. I avoid those kinds of magazines like the plague, actually. Stories about how X celebrity has gained 2lbs (SHOCKING!!!) or how Y celebrity has adopted some child from another country don't make my reading list. Just as "reality" TV and the mind numbing spectacle of Jerry Springer doesn't find itself on my TV.

The idea that I am somehow responsible for the actions of a woman whom I have never even met is ridiculous. Period.

The point I am making with this "tongue in cheek" thread is that the media has got the American public to the point where they can manipulate morals and aspirations to any degree that they wish to.

In the last 6 months there have been two cases in point:

1) The current Octo-mom and her ambition to be a star for looking like Angelina Jolie and holding the world record for spawning the most human puppies.
2) The media selected and groomed a totally untested and inexperienced candidate for the US President. The fervor with which the media pushed Barack Obama was unbelievable. And the MTV generation danced and "Believed".

That is a very weird take on the situation, but oh well. I think the doc who implanted eight embryos in an unmarried welfare mom should first have his butt kicked up between his shoulders, then have his license removed for the entire United States. He's as crazy as she is.

AngelInterceptor, first off, welcome.
Second, your post was pretty much just what I was going to type.

I cannot stand that kind of media.
I refuse to buy into it. I do not buy any of those rags, I do not watch the tv equivalent, and the thought of those who do nauseates me. I say let those who worship celebrities support this family.

I did not even know that this woman existed until this thread.
She garners none of my attention (aside from this thread obviously) and I can only imagine the horror if the media never ran with her story. I would lay odds that she would seek attention by hurting her babies.

This woman is a mess and her 15 minutes of fame will do her considerable damage when the next lunatic takes her place on tv.

Not my fault. I dont worship any celebrity nor did I oooh and awww over Brangelina or anyone else.

Its the governments fault for making it SO EASY for people to live off of others and scam America.

Its the parents fault for not making her be responsible for her own actions.

Its the doctors fault who saw $$ rather then the health and well being of others.

Its the crazy baby's mom for not getting psychiatric help which she desperately needs.

Its many people's fault. But its not mine.

Does anyone know how she got the money to pay the fertility specialist? I know those procedures are quite expensive.

My guess is that Nadya will become a star on TV, despite all the negative publicity surrounding her. In America notoriety can make you a star. Recent examples I have seen is Amy Fischer and Tonya Harding as reality stars on TV.

How can you possibly blame this on us? She is a legal adult, she makes her own decisions, whether they are right or not. I would say the blame falls 50 percent on her and 50 percent on the doctor.

She says that she worked double shifts and overtime to pay for the 4 IVF treatments that resulted in her 14 children. Yeah, right....she worked at a mental hospital (shock of shocks!!!).

She got 165K in disability and lawsuit payments from being "injured on the job". My guess is that money paid for her IVF treatments and plastic surgery.

"Octo-mom"
That's good.

Look, there are whackos out there. I am not responsible for her or her choices. SHE may be one of the people who oohs and aahs over Angelina's kids, but I'm not.

This country's problems are equally shared among the greedy rich and greedy poor. It's the average working joe that has carried this country from day one, and I hear all this talk about a NWO taking over. In my opinion if everything falls apart, that is the time for average working JOE to take over, not NWO.

One of the biggest problems facing our society is, "Boundaries" or lack there of. No one takes personal responsibility for their own actions or reactions. We tend to play the 'blame game' way too much these days, in order to avoid owning what is ours. Those that blame others for their misguided steps have a core issue with responsibility and that makes it easy for one to play victim. Those that make excuses for others are enablers that help victimize.

This woman's circumstances are not mine to judge. I am no better or no worse. With that said, her choices are not mine to own. She needs to work through her own emotions for herself, not for me, not for you. Her behavior is hers to reconcile.

As for the financial situation, I cannot speak intelligently to that with out knowing all the facts, not what the media portrays, but the "real deal".

The true victims here are the children, and through no fault of their own. Their Mother has turned out to be a one man HORROR show.

What.. will we also be 'responsible' for drunk drivers, drug addicts, womanbeaters, school shooters, and hey, why not add any social ill you can think of next as well, just to stay on the safe side?

Amy winehouse does do hard drugs and is a celeb.. isn't it sharlie sheen who got railroaded in the press after driving with a bit too much alcohol? and rapstars singing about their ...woman isn't exactly an inspiring example too following your logic.. heck, the president of the national rifle association was also a celeb, surely he must have influenced the school shooters, right?

Get this: some people will act the fool, not because they see it on TV or in a newspaper but simply... because they are fools..

*edit to add: personally, I am flabbergasted you try pinning this on society as a whole.. if you are thàt impressionable, maybe you should not watch TV, stay away from newspapers, and ffs, sell your PC.. God knows what evils these Evil media might set you up for..

Hi Myrnaeris

I agree. The consumers of these magazines and viewers of these garbage tv shows are the ones responsible for this idea of what is acceptable in society. When someone says they are not responsible and they buy the mags you listed or watch one of these trash shows, it boggles the mind. That would be comparable to all the people who watch the simpsons, coming out and saying they can't understand why its such a popular show; they only watch it cause its funny. Popularity sells and they know it...

Something for all who've posted here to think about though.... After looking at some of the comments... like the one below...

I titter at the fact that this woman will probably ALWAYS feel alone.

She had kids before and that didn't satisfy her, now she has 8 more and they won't either.

And no sane man would go near her with 14 screaming brats in tow.

Sad...

She'll probably end up a bitter lesbian with an ugly sterile partner and say "come sit on granny's lap" to a hundred more screaming brats in her old age.

i am not an expert - but isnt implantation of multiple embryos std practice ?

i was under the [ possibly deluded ] assumption that IVF implantation has a massive fail rate - and MOST women only bring one baby to term - out of several

its only the law of averages that throws up these massive multiple live births every so often

no it is NOT my fault - like several others have indignantly pointed out i do not buy the media hype of " celebrity "

i have no idea who ius shagging who or whoes baby it is , who is in or who is out - its all pointless garbage

this morning while a sizable section of the brittish population learned the " latest " celebrity gossip from various tabloid news papers and teevee shows , i was out learning how to correctly use a petzl pantin

so next time please use a smaller brush

Yeah but this particular "patient" had had several successful implants, with six brats to prove it. This doctor I dunno what he uses for brains, to implant eight more kids in her. I don't think she could have found another doc on the face of the planet to impregnate her welfare scamming self.

Does anyone know what the alleged disabilities of the older six children are?
