Obama signals he isn't interested in 'truth commission' to investigate Bush abuses

rawstory.com

President Barack Obama gave a cool welcome at his Monday night press conference to Senate Judiciary Chairman Patrick Leahy's (D-VT) call for a "truth commission" to probe alleged abuses under George W. Bush, offering a fresh signal that the new president may not be interested in investigating President Bush.

Obama claimed at the first press conference of his presidency that he had not seen the proposal from Sen. Leahy and would have a look at it -- "but my general orientation is to say let's get it right moving forward."

But "my view is also that nobody is above the law. And if there are clear instances of wrongdoing, that people should be prosecuted just like any ordinary citizen," Obama said.

I'm not so worried about this.

If Obama investigated the Bush administration Republicans would be investigating the current Senate Dems.

So, this is a smart move on his part.

But I would like the truth from what happened in the Bush administration...

We can't not know what really happened.

Maybe a smart move politically on his part, but I personally think some all-around governmental housecleaning would do us some god.

Is it just me or does Obama never really answer questions?

I mean, I want to move forward, but if there is something glaring then we should investigate?

His crotch has got to be bruised from all the straddling of the fence.

Yeah Obama does that, he exposes himself and many of his bosses. Or he gets the JFK treatement.

I say do it anyway if you have balls.

But he's crooked, he won't do it.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!

I watched his whole townhall meeting yesterday morning, and I was listening to the questions the audience members were asking him. One old man asked him "why give the banks and buisnesses all of this money? Why not just send us all a check in the mail and we will stimulate our own economy"? He never answered that question in direct terms, he started spouting off about how he needs to fix this financial crisis blah blah blah.
Also, when someone in the crowd would ask him a question that went against "obamamania" everyone would start to boo, even though it was in their best interests for him to answer that question. He did defend the man and said "no he is right, that was a good question" but he didnt give a straight answer for that one either. I gave him props for defending a guy who went against his policy, but I felt really bad for the obamanites, because they seem to have just thrown their future in his hands without giving a second look all while cheering.

Sorry if I got off topic . SO I will make this quick to make up for it, I dont think that he will judge bush because all that will do is weaken our state evenmore, as if we need that right now. People are already in shambles, and if you show them right now how corrupt our system really is, all that will do is speed up the revolution process, and thats something they really dont want. Most of our govt is corrupt because it is money driven, its all competition, we dont have anyone in office for the people anymore, besides a select few, and even sometimes I question them as well.
Give Obama time, because only time will show him that he made the right choice in not acting by revealing his own bad choices that he WILL make.

If anyone was laboring under the misapprehension that Obama is anything other than the next globalist-socialist puppet selected to carry on the systematic dismantling of our freedoms, this might give them a first clue.

Justice is not about self-preservation. It’s about doing the right thing under the agreed upon rules.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
