would it help to bring a friend who has extra sensory powers?
Could not hurt, may help guide you to hot spots. may not but worth
bringing them along. Also have them note any 'feelings' they get as well
as feelings about any ghost.
would it help to bring a friend who is a skeptic? (not that i'm going in blindly believing it is truly haunted.)
Yes, i would recommend if nothing else they could give you a different viewpoint on experiences if any occur
what kind of camera should i bring?
I would take a few, depending on what you have avail. Its always best to have a few just in case one fails. Digital or 35mm you ask? i would go
with digital , sure you get some false readings, but at the price of developing film ,it would be better for the first visit, to get many shots
cheap.
Plus with digital, you can see instant results.
will any voice recorder be fit for EVP work or do i need a special one?
Yes, any will, some work better than others, but they all work, be sure to use a external Micraphone so you dont pick up the noise of the motor and
tape turning, if you dont use digital, external is always best if possible.
HINT : NO Wispering at any time. can easily be mistaken for evp later.
Also see if you can borrow a sony nightshot, or others with 0 lux.
always nice to have at least one, gives you visual as well as audio.
what should i do in case of a demonic entity?
RUN!!! *LOL*... if you run into anyhthing such as that i would call it a day
and leave it to the pro's.
if i've discovered that the spirit(s) is/are benevolent, how do i go about helping them get to where they belong?
First you have to figure out why they are there..
do i need to be psychic to use the Pendulum technique?
Not sure about this one, i've never used it, i stick to scientific methods that
can be proven or dis proven.
would it help to bring an EMF reader?
Yes definatly would, although i would spend some time getting use to it at home, as well as run a base line in the whole area you are going to be
investigating before you start.
You also need someone good at doing research to dig up history on the location, people who lived there, died there, major happenings, etc.
I also would advise although you see it on tv a lot, NEVER go alone, always pair up.. for many reasons, you are walking around in the dark, easy to
get hurt.. better to pair up then you have help handy if you need it.
Also dual eyes/ears. you can validate what you see or hear with the person with you.
Good luck, keep us posted.
