BAGHDAD, Iraq -- The bodies of four men believed to be among several civilian contractors missing in Iraq since Friday were found Tuesday on the road between Abu Ghraib and Fallujah, according to broadcast reports.

The bodies were in a shallow grave near the site of the explosion of a convoy in which they were traveling, MSNBC reported. An Iraqi told coalition authorities that Americans were buried there, officials said.

Their bodies were mutilated, officials said, but there was no agreement as to whether the mutilation was a result of the fire that consumed the convoy or was carried out after the attack and fire. The convoy with seven civilians and two soldiers was attacked Friday.
