I did this test quite a while ago and in the past month, I've gotten at least one spam emails from them daily. That's after I suppsedly unsubscribed to their mail list, that I had no idea I subscribed to.

Interesting quiz.

Here's mine:

1. Mahayana Buddhism (100%)
2. New Age (95%)
3. Neo-Pagan (94%)
4. Theravada Buddhism (88%)
5. New Thought (83%)
6. Scientology (80%)
7. Hinduism (76%)
8. Unitarian Universalism (76%)
9. Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (70%)
10. Taoism (70%)

Although I shun organized religion in general, I always thought if you had to put me in a 'group', I'd want to hang with the Buddhists.

One thing I found interesting, is that I was raised as a Roman Catholic (did the whole Catholic school thing and everything...). However, Roman Catholic was the very last in the list in terms of compatibility.

27. Roman Catholic (9%)

Feels kinda good to know I was able to form my own beliefs based on my own interpretation of the world around me, even with the man in the funny hat and dress dictating what I should and should not believe.

Maybe you need to look into Scientology's principles to see why? I scored high on it too, and I never thought twice about that religion, but it does make me curious as to WHY I correlated so highly with them.

I also want to look into Liberal Quaker. I dont know anything about that faith either.

Actually... I have studied the tenets of Scientology extensively, and I guess that the areas covered in the quiz were more or less answered as a Scientologist would answer, but I surely have no belief inb Xenu, nor Thetans, nor a need for auditing.

I really didn't see my beliefs were acurately described, so maybe choosing the closest was a poor move on my part. Really, since I see "God" as being Consciousness collapsing the wave function, thereby creating Reality (if God is the Creator, and we create reality through our awareness and observation, we therefore must be God...), and I see a level of Consciousness in all things... I see that all things co-create Reality.

Maybe I should have chosen "none of the above..."

See above quote from me. [grin]

Yes, there are some minor congruities in what I believe with Scientology, but I think there are many more divergent ones.

I didn't like that most of my selected answers were combined with, "Or not sure. Or not important."

Just because I don't agree with abortions or homosexuals doesn't mean I'm religious. I despise religion.

I took it three times and each time I realized there was a little more potential depth, such as certain questions allowing for multiple choices, and also using the priority settings. Third times the charm, and this list makes the most sense. Besides, religion is like peanut butter, all those brands are made from the same basic stuff but they still taste different, so why not try them all? I don't know where salmonella poisoning falls in with this analogy.

I didn't really care for the wordings of many things, and felt like some of the questions left out important points. I'm sure in explanation I wouldn't fit these, but oh well. Fun to see what it comes up with anyway.

I haven't heard of half of these before. New Thought? Jainism?

It says Hinduism 100%, but when I read Hinduism I don't really match it that well at all. Talks about worshipping people as gods and such, and I don't believe that. Some of them I answered directly opposite of what it says of Hinduism.

1. Hinduism (100%)
2. Mahayana Buddhism (87%)
3. Jainism (82%)
4. Unitarian Universalism (81%)
5. New Thought (77%)
6. Sikhism (76%)
7. Baha'i Faith (75%)
8. Orthodox Judaism (75%)
9. Liberal Quakers (72%)
10. Islam (69%)

13. Scientology (69%)
14. New Age (64%)

24. Roman Catholic (29%)
25. Seventh Day Adventist (27%)
26. Nontheist (25%)
27. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (25%)

Edit: Actually, the one I never heard of "New Thought" was way more of a match than the others.

...And this is my second line. ^^ Interesting questions, though!
