A person would do better in picking up homes while they are cheap, and renting them. With all the people who are having their homes foreclosed on needing homes the rental market is booming. Long term investment too...property values will go up again.

The stock market will never, ever be as good as it was before. We are going into Socialism..

That's my opinion. It's a hard pill for those of us to swallow who have day traded..but it's the truth. Better to except it and move on. IMO

Capitalists turning red!!!

Marx was right. The time needs to be ripe (the means of production, etc...). LOL.

Now everyone will have their needs satisfied, especially when someone tells you what your needs are...

Just, don't be greedy, I mean... needy

I'm guessing you don't know what short-selling is?

Although cheer up folks! At least we can try to get rich following reinhardt.
He accurately predicted that a certain medical stock will go crash when every other stock was shooting up, did he not?

Housing still has a ways to go before it bottoms. lol. The difference between stocks and housing is you can make money on stocks when they go down. Even if U.S has a more European socialist economy the stock market won't dissapear.

Let me put it to you this way. I retired 3 years ago. At that time a man over 80 years old advised me to take my money and put it into real estate. I thought, at first, he was crazy.

I bought the house I am living in and paid cash, and two other homes and paid cash. Had I left it in the market, ect. I would be on food stamps right now. My 410 K tanked BIG TIME.

And yeah, I know about shorts...I did that on the side, that's how a single mom of four was able to save enough money to buy 3 houses when she retired.

That's what was great about America, AT THAT TIME. Socialism is gonna change all that.

Socialists are rescuing capitalists...

Obama's Stimulus Scam

Most of us have probably heard just about all the arguments we can take in favor of the so-called stimulus package Barack Obama urges upon us. They boil down to this: if the government seizes resources from individuals (whether by direct taxation, borrowing, or inflation) and devotes them to arbitrary projects, we will prosper.

I thought I would post a little extra reading to aid the soul

depends how nasty it gets, but you guys up in canada have better stability in your overall economy, hell, some of us might want to become illegal aliens and jump over your border!! better start building those fences now, there might be alot of fat *ss americans trying to become a canuck

Yeah i can kinda see where your coming from, But if the American markets completley tank this week and crash and burn. Something I still am not ready to jump on, I personally feel that today is panic selling. but on the off chance it does, running to Canada would not be the best thing to do in my eyes.

Canada is so hopelessly dependant on the US to purchase our good that our economy will absolutley blow up shortly after yours. As sad as it makes me to say this, Canada put all of our eggs in the states basket and as such we will share your fate.

Do i think R's suggestion fo rthis week will pan out. I guess it's possible, the again this could be panic selling like we have seen before. Either way I am quite willing to say that I mat have been wrong about the markets and a possible crash. Do i honestly think R has insight into the goings on and is somehow "in the know" Not likely, but thats just my opinion.

Who actually listens to Canadians anyway right
