Israel considers declaring Al Jazeera "hostile entity"

Israel's frosty relationship with Al Jazeera is heading for a deep freeze.


Over the past year, Israel has been gradually disengaging from Al Jazeera.


Last March, Israeli leaders threatened to stop working with Al Jazeera because they w ere unhappy with their cove rage if the last Israeli military operation in Gaza.


Six months ago, Israel temporarily stopped approving work visas and press cards for Al Jazeera after one o f the station's anchors host ed a birthday celebration...

Its not surprising. Al Jazeera is the FOX News / CNN / MSNBC for the Arab world. Nothing upsets a carefull orchestrated propaganda campaign then desent in the media. This was why the IDF had such a tight clampdown on the Gaza strip. No one want to see that on TV and god forbid people question Isreal moral high ground regarding its recent actions :shk: This type of clampdown may have worked in the 70's and 80's but information does get out.
