That video makes me want to hurl. I hate to call myself an artist, for fear I will be lumped in with people that have a mentality like that.

Bald Eagle, is your sig serious? Or is it just sarcasm?

Hmm.
I didn't see our President in this PSA.
" I pledge to be a servant of the American people".

That's the way it's supposed to work.

I have been searching for this thread since yesterday.

Isn't it amusing that spoilt Hollywood stars who are overpaid and live luxurious lives are telling the man in the street that we should tighten our belts and particpate in community service. I know I would definitely like to only appear in a public service message, have my hair and make up done , be professionally photographed , given a script to read, and then walk away saying I have done my part in helping with this economic crisis.

You are right, it should be the other way around.
Seems they've all forgotten these words.

...and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.

Quite fitting for this thread..

What's funny is these ass-hats are making these pledges to do all sorts of common, everyday things that the average person should be doing.

Guess for the past eight years, they felt they could give it a miss since Obama wasn't President.

They should be pledging to be servants of the children of the world and to stop any fascist or corporate force that endangers their lives, living conditions, and full access to resources to grow up happy, equal, well looked after and wise!

I pledge to flush twice, one and two... Its a long way to the whitehouse.

Boycott hollywood... at least the idiots that are part of this garbage. The US is in a major slide and they ask for you to give more of yourself for the environment and your fellow man, yet they do everything they can to put you under. Utter crap!

The oprah book club should be around soon to defend this harpo trash. My sister follows that rubbish... believes everything oprah says... brainwashing buddies oprah and obama. NLP at its finest.

KoolAid makes you promise WAY TOO MUCH!

Does Hollywood not realize if they keep their promises and follow through with everything they are pledging, they won't have anytime to make their lousy movies.

Did anyone happen to catch the subliminal from the video?

Also if you notice the text at 6seconds in it says..
"they say hate ob the president onli join the old" Hate obama and join bush?

They're using NLP in everything we see now.... its the future of advertising using mass hypnosis. And they're making it legal to intentionally alter someones mental state for their own purposes, illegal or not.

Obama is a fine example. Uses NLP in all his speeches. That's why he usually has one person faint during his speech. He talks about being weak and not having nourishment etc. Then someone takes the suggestion and faints from not eating before going and being weak.

It could be his charisma and messianic qualities.... ya... sure

Some of us must be immune than, because I've seen through it like glass from day one. I can read Obama, his supporters and the media like a book.

Where are all the sleuths that were popping out of the woodwork the last 9 years? Are they really busy all of a sudden?

You know, it's funny you mention that. There was another grouping of letters, I think it was the last phrase, where when they started jumbling (unjumbling?) my mind picked up the phrase "we hate you". No joke!

Peace

So, i see what you mean, said the blind man.

Now, would McCain have been better for us and the world? If so, please explain.

Obviously, we are @#$#$#d [ in trouble] either way.

It really does sound like we have us a REAL problem in this land, in this world, and i am leaning more and more to Alex Jones in order to learn whats really coming.

As far as im concered in this day and age, and at this time in the world any pledge should go like this. At least for me.

"I pledge my service to the world, and all the lives living on it"

"I pledge not to let blind faith tell me the way things should be"

"I pledge to help my neighbour for as long as I am able"

"I pledge to be rolemodel for future generations"

"I Pledge to not allow one man or woman influence the way I think"

Some of them are pledging to:

* love more
* smile more
* laugh more
* donate more
* be a better mother
* be a better father
* donate more
* be an American first
* represent their country with pride, dignity and honesty
* stop giving people the finger
* find humor in everything
* volunteer more of their time
* sell a culture of intelligence instead of ignorance
* defend issues
* change how they live
* be a better person
* never stop learning and growing

Looks like they are turning into Conservatives.
