ME!
I am the greatest thinker in the last 1000 years....
Anyone else who says that they are are WRONG, as the greatest thinker I have determined that I am the greatest thinker ipso facto no one else can
be.
If anyone else was the greatest thinker then I would have said it was him / her as it is there is no one else but me at the top of the thinking tree,
... I think...

What a joke of a list.
Any list with Marx as the lead thinker (his theories don't even work in the real world, how in the hell can this person be called a great thinker)
and without John Locke (the father of modern democracy) is pure crap.

I don't believe in ranks, therefore I throw out any dominant position held by any so-called great thinker. Therefore many on the list hold up with
me. I know very little about a few of those, but most of those people I would add to my list. My list would go like this: (Remember I have no
ranks)
Rene Descartes
Charles Darwin
H.G. Wells
Benjamin Franklin
Thomas Edison
Bernard Spinoza
Sigmund Freud
William Shakeseare
Issac Newton
and some guy I met that called himself "Florida"--Jesus?

You got my vote dude.
I don't see how anyone could actually vote for the greatest thinker.
The greatest thinker might have never shared his thoughts with anyone.

Karl Marx deserves the prize, It's been 150 years since he wrote the communist manifesto, and we're still no where near to a socialist utopian
society which promotes justice, freedom and liberty to all!
He is a thousand years before his time, and sadly i will not be around to witness his time, one day...one day.
Long live socialism! Vote SSP!

This is all typical British propaganda, meant to convince you that authoritarianism and socialism are the right way to go. Another example was when
the Constables in the UK were encouraging people to bring their firearms in for destruction, calling it an "amnesty," even though they encouraged
people to bring in completely legal firearms to have them destroyed. They're also violating privacy rights with their traffic programs. If you say
that the greatest thinkers are authoritarian socialists and communists, people will believe that becoming an authoritarian socialist or communist is
the intelligent thing to do. I say authoritarian because I don't mind the Libertarian socialists. Still hate commies though. They didn't mention
the founding fathers of the USA, or Nikoli Tesla, or John Brown, or President Kennedy. Yes JFK was a socialist, but he defined gun registration as
disarmament, meaning that making people register firearms would be violating the constitution, and he also helped with American civil rights. And
yes, authoritarian right wingers are also terrible.

You just could not be more wrong about this. The reason people like Tesla and the founding fathers don`t come up is because they don`t figure in our
thinking. Its not propaganda just online brits showing they are more european in their thinking than they would like to think.

Frederick Nietzche is my first choice. Karl Marx doesnt deserve a spot on the list.
Socialism is another dehumanizing concept, not so different from capitalism, in the sense that both systems, while appearing at cross purpose, use
illusions to keep people producing to fatten up thier overlords, who appear benevolent.

It's probably some anonymous Bolivian llama-herder who made a breakthrough in yam-gathering, but was never recorded.
I can't think how one would ever decide; but Marx out and it's amazing not to see Kant in there.

I would have said Kant, Skinner, Luther, Pauling, Watson and Crick, Pasteur, Mendel, Kierkegaard, Hume, Aquinas, Wittgenstein, with NetChicken at the
top! :-) Marx, Smith, and Darwin conspicuously omitted.

Umm...no capitalists on this list?
Who do you think Isaac Newton was? He was before DEMOCRACY as we know it, he was a MONARCHIST the ultimate opposite to Communism.
And how the hell is Charles Darwin a thinker at all?
He went to the Gallapagos unexpecting what he'd be able to show. He didn't think up anything, he got the idea of Evolution from a friend back at
home, another author who wrote a book on evolution before him but it was pure insanity no proof.
Darwin went to galapagos and found an example of that proof in the birds.
I'll get you that other man's name when I bother to care to spend the time.
That's all I have to say at the moment.

Communism is an extreme form of socialism and it will ALWAYS devolve into a totalitarian government. There has never been a communist country where
this did not happen.
In my opinion Karl Marx is nothing more than a glorified idiot. His theories on government WILL NEVER WORK in the real world because of the nature of
human beings.
The best economic system currently in the world is regulated Capitalism. If you want proof of this, just take a look at which country has the highest
GDP (higher than the next 5 countries combined) and then look at the so-called communist countries. Do you notice any difference here? I do.

I have to agree with Kant and Marx (sorry but he was brilliiant) Watson and Crick (good one Troy), Locke, Hobbes, Copernicus, Newton, Einstein,
Zwingli, Luther, me and don't forget Netchicken! Maybe Estragon too.
This list should be mindbogglingly long.
