Maybe the rain was an acid rain and the chemical is the water started bleaching and eating away the shirt.

Is there any industrial region nearby?

We have nuclear power plants close but they are non active? Dont know much about that....I live in a small town, we have a small airport...someone mentioned to me the possibility of a gel in the airplanes that gets released>>? Which I know nothing about either.

Does the space center in Alabama do weather experiments that any one knows of? I know China put some kind of silver in the air to prevent rain fall or something like that. Those kinda of thoughts pop into my mind also.

Im glad people are responding, makes me a little more comfortable. I dont believe in alot of the whistle blowers, but I really find this odd.

As I said, it might have been related to some scientific experimenting.

With proximity to key research facilities, we can narrow the list.
