It should not even be allowed to call the current "conservative leaders" republicans. Past too for that matter.

Bush did about everything a conservative hates, except going to war.

The sad part about this country is that most of us are not truly republican or democratic. We are in the middle.

Who wants a large government where useless taxes are being put on the people to pay for these corrupt leaders of ours to throw at companies and their CEO's personal gain?

Who wants to see people ABUSING the system and taking our tax money?

Who wants to see wars happening based on lies?

Who wants to see bailout plans being passed through congress that is obviously doing nothing as PLANNED, except of course feeding the owners for some private vacations and new, not needed jets?

My friends, we are in the middle. We do not want a government that enforces laws for the minorities consisting of five people, that put a burden on the other 300 million Americans. We do not want a government that sits there and lets big business slam the middle class into the ground.

We want a government that will EFFICIENTLY spend tax money on USEFUL things. Public service maintenance, better schooling, a GOOD medical system, technology, space (I threw that one in there, I am just fascinated by it ), and things along such lines.

Government is formed from the start of civilization. Tyranny is formed from complete government rule. You can either have NO FREEDOMS, or ANARCHY, when following the "extremes" of a side. Is it not ideal to meet in the middle?

Dear public servants (government officials) - We are your priority.

Bash both parties for they have both hurt this country.

You put a ray of light in a cave, it is sure to be darkened. Just ONE fault in a presidents choosing should clearly show they do not work for us.

Death to those who inflict life with death, and life to those who inflict death with death.

The National Debt has increased with EVERY US PRESIDENT SINCE 1930

Some more than other, yes, but not one of them has actually reduced the National Debt.

in fact, if you look at this chart you can see times in history where the National debt grew and where it shrank (by decade)

In EVERY instance of the shrinkage it was because of a deflationary period, a recession, or a depression.

Because, it is ONLY though those economic cycles that debt is taken OFF THE BOOKS.

I would like to believe that SOME of our Congress Critters are actually learning a little about economics and are finally realizing that we cannot solve a debt problem with more debt anymore than you can cure a heroin addict with more heroin.

We have had at least 30 years of consistent growth, some will argue 65 years of growth.

It HAS to contract!!

Either we focus on a slower, controlled contraction - while fixing the causes of this mess - or we literally end up going BOOM!

Right now we are causing a severe risk of a Bond Market dislocation. Once foreign countries decide to no longer buy our debt, it will happen. And since the rest of the world is going through the exact same thing we are, it's gonna happen, because they aren't going to

#1 Trust that our debt is good

#2 Afford it

I've been living on CSPAN and coffee for months now, and there are MANY people in congress who understand this, unfortunately there are many who choose to ignore it.

Don't ask me who is who, because I listen to CSPAN, I don't watch it closely so I really don't know which party lines are involved, but I do know that there are many who see the problem for what it is and want to FIX it, not feed it.
