Mass walkouts across Britain as anger grows over influx of foreign workers

www.dailymail.co.uk

A bitter dispute over the use of foreign workers on a multimillion-pound construction project at an oil refinery spread across the country after a series of wildcat strikes were called.

A decision to bring in hundreds of Italian and Portuguese contractors to work on a new £200 million plant at the giant Lindsey Oil Refinery in north Lincolnshire, led to more than 2,000 workers protesting at 17 different sites in support of jobs for British workers.

As economies across the world continue to sink, I think that we're all going to witness people frustrated with governments continuing to import more workers when citizens need the jobs.

We've got the same situation here in the states.

We've got an estimated 20,000,000 people in this county illegally and now many citizens are out of work.

Governments need to realize that they have to take care of their citizens first. Immigration should only be allowed when there are more jobs then workers.

Where on earth did you get the figure of 20 million illegal immigrants in the UK?
As for the Lindsey Refinery, the Company using the Italian and Portuguese workers were contracted at a time when there was a serious shortage of building labour in the UK. Times may have changed but British workers have the same right to work throughout the EU as the Portuguese and Italians do to work in the UK.

It begins...

I'm concerned. Britain is a decent country, depsite what the media tries to tar us with.

The Irish, the Scotch, the Welsh and the English generally consist of hard-working, good natured folk who don't want to see themselves lost in the pitfalls of global bank orchestrated madness.

We are not racist, but like everywhere we will put ourselves first.

Somebody wish us luck, 'cos we'll certainly need it.
