Wow, it's back and back strong.
I really do have an urge for waffle right now.

I know this has been discussed before here:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

www.abovetopsecret.com...

However, I just wanted to note this incident as well as a reference
for any future discussions.

Benzoic Acid in the salt to deice streets was the most scientific
answer I have read. Damm, I'm hungry

No, I think it is related to threads I posted...
The one you provided was for corn syrup containing mercury.

The smell is quite overwhelming and my stomach is actually
starting to feel weird. Uggggh!!

Ever been on an airliner that is being de-iced/anti-iced?

You'll smrll the glycol that reminds you of maple syrup. Sickenly sweet smell.

Cool... So is it Glycol then?! I read Benzoic.
The deicing makes perfect sense, since we are expecting snow tonight,
Perhaps the trucks are getting ready.

I have cooked with Karo syrup and it smells mapleish when cooked down, just wondering if mercury has anything to do with it.

Call your health department, but they will just refer you to mental health.

I really hope you can get some answers my friend, thats just strange.
