2012 on CNN

Wow...

Type "2012" into an Internet search engine and you'll find survival guides, survival schools, predictions and "official stuff" to wear, including T-shirts with slogans such as "2012 The End" and "Doomsday 2012." Theories about what might happen range from solar storms triggering volcano eruptions to a polar reversal that will make the Earth spin in the opposite direction.

I'm amazed to see even the mainstream media is catching onto this bogus nonsense and perpetuating it. Not only that but it's under the SCIENCE section as if prophecy and mysticism should have anything to do with fact. It's the next biggest marketable doomsday scenario and guess what folks? We're still 3 years away from it. I can't even imagine the hysteria in the month of December of 2012. The real conspiracy is how people are scaring others into believing something based upon absolutely no evidence and thus forcing them to do things they otherwise wouldn't do. It's as if everybody forgot how stupid they looked after believing that Y2K would end civilization as we know it.
