Unfortunately you are correct, FOR NOW, thus proving how a large portion of the country feels. Conservatives are a dying breed. Once again, if I were a conservative I would tell Limbaugh to quit speaking for me, unless I were as big a bigot as he.

Close minded people are a big part of the problems in the world. If you "could care less about his response to anything" then that just tells me that you would hate on the guy whether he was right or wrong. And your opinion isn't really valid if you don't even know what the guy said. Is everyone who disagrees with you a "racist, elite, idiot?

What Rush Limbaugh might or might not have said at other times, has no bearing on this topic right here. I've listened to him on and off for years and I have not heard him say anything to indicate that he is a racist. And even if he was, there is such a thing as free speech. Free speech is not just for closed minded people who think that they are the only ones who have the right to speak their mind.

Read what Rush said about THIS topic and then tell me what was wrong with it. Otherwise your opinion means nothing to me.

I want the United States to succeed, and therefore, I am forced to wish Obama to fail.

There is nothing closed minded about me. I simply called it how it is. Limbaugh is a WELL DOCUMENTED, bigoted, racist, elitist. If he said water is H20 I would doubt it. Just about every single one of the so-called quotes by Limbaugh were taken out of context. Especially about not caring about blacks because they are only 12% of the population. He was talking about not catering to special interest groups...which could include blacks, gays, feminists, Eskimos...etc. The Republican Party tends to view people as individuals, not part of special interest groups.

Also the "take the bone out of your nose" goes back more than 20 years...even before he was nationally syndicated...but if you want to hold on to that one...can Republicans hold Robert (KKK) Byrd (D) West Virginia responsible for his past also?


As far as criticizing Jessie Jackson and the NAACP...they deserve it. BTW didn't Jessie Jackson want to cut Lord Obama's nuts off?

The success of our country, or its failure, hinges on all of us....the President, the Federal government, State governments, local governments, and most importantly, us, the citizens of the USA.

Heck I supported Gore in 2000 and I didnt want Bush to win in 2004 at all (even though I had my own negative opinions about Kerry) so I could verymuch turn around and put all blame on those americans who voted them in but then again we all have to do our part regardless of who we voted for, so I believe that the american people as a whole should in part be blamed for this mess. Theres this blame all on the one individual in the whitehouse yet the majority of americans made it possible for some of these corrupt individuals to lie to us.

I did not want Bush to be president at all, I am a progressive and I dont think Ivn ever voted a conservative or libertarian, but as bad as Bush was, I stood behind him in 9/11 and his war on terror in afghanistan, and even with his lies on Iraq, this $200 million a day war, I had hoped by the least that he would bring this nation back in his re-election in 2004...

I want america to succeed under all presidents, right left or independent... I just find it amazing how there are some who wish doom on america under a president they happen to disagree with in ideology. Its just unpatriotic to be that way.

I remember in 2004 when you spoke out against the war, you used your right of freedom of speech, you were labelled unpatriotic... I mean as if we cannot question our government or our president on an obvious misleading war... these same folks are now saying these things. Heck 2000 was nearly as bad... I know the 2000 elections were controversial, trust me Im a liberal and I felt they were shame, nevertheless the start of the 2001 year I got over it and had hoped this president would further prosper this nation... I disagree with Limbaugh on many things but for petes sakes the man is a leader, very influencial and he is obviously in some way an ambassador to the core conservative base... is this how leaders are supposed to act?

Hey dooper what if you had a choice between the country prospering once again, americans have plenty of jobs again, the country safe once again all under an Obama administration, as opposed to the opposite under an Obama administration... would you care enough for your country, for your fellow americans suffering overseas or out of a job at home, to pick the first one... or would you rather let america suffer for another 4years all for the sake of belief?

I am not going to defend or blast Limbaugh.....he's entitled to his opinion. And, the people who listen to him most likely share his opinions on numerous topics. And, he is not a leader. He is a talk show host. If people choose to view him as a leader.....well, that's their perogative. But, he is not a leader.....not in any real sense of the word. A mid-sized group of hard core conservatives may look up to him, but that does not a leader make.

But, when it comes to Obama's presidency succeeding or failing, overall, I want it to succeed. If it does, it will help the success of America.....but the success of our country doesn't hinge on the success of the President.

I don't agree with a lot of Obama's policies or ideas, and yes, I would prefer that the policies I don't agree with fail. I think they would be bad for this country. And, if those policies fail, that doesn't mean that his presidency fails. And, it doesn't mean that our country fails.

We should all want our country to succeed. And, we should all realize that the country's success does not depend solely on one man. It never has and it never will.

The only way to defeat it in the long term is to allow it in the short term. Once people realize what modern liberalism really is they will reject it...well, the intelligent ones will at least. The ones that are stupid will continue to support it but will do so from a marginalized position that nobody will listen to anymore.

The thing is liberalism never dies, neither does your rotten ideology. Liberalism expands to meet the day and conservatism changes ( to its shagrin ) to keep pace pace with liberalism.
