I've been a member for a while but never had the time to post a thread here until now. I'm just going to tell you all a little bit about myself in the hopes I will meet other ATS-ers who are like-minded.

One of the reasons I joined ATS was due to one of my greatest hobbies/interests: research. I love researching all sorts of topics, basically if it catches my eye, I will research it until I not only completely understand it (if possible) but am well-informed enough to have opinions and theories that I can back up by citing references. I haven't met many people that are interested in research and would love to! In my opinion, a person can never be too old to learn. Also, it coincides with another personal attribute: I enjoy helping others. Already I have helped a famous cryptozoologist with research for one of his papers (articles), and that happened because I was curious about a topic the author had already written about.

I am looking forward to meeting other ATS-ers and becoming a more active member. I AM offering my services to anyone needing assistance with research or whatever I may able to help with, so keep me in mind just in case!

I’m glad to meet you, and find it cool that you decided to finally post. I was like you, I had been a member for a while but almost never posted. But I am glad that I did. I’ve learned so much from a lot of the members here, and continue to learn everyday. There are some very intelligent, thought provoking, and creative people that post here. Hope you stick around.

well, thank you for the warm welcome. I have no plans of leaving ATS. The more I post, the more I love this place. Kind of a new "home" to me. If nothing else it sure gets my mind off the BS of my life...sick wife, friend who accidentally shot himself, etc...(not trolling for sympathy, just making a statement)

Hope to get to meet all the "good apples" here on ATS. And I have met a few so far, and some "bad apples" too, not to point fingers (Blup...) J/k you know i love you Blup ...not in that sick way of course.

the more members i meet the more i love this place. I was really skeptical at first because I figured this site was full of crazy people, but I have found that I was VERY wrong, just goes to prove NEVER assume anything.
