I applaud the Obama's for doing this , I think it's really a good sign that the man has an interest in this and that one of the first things he does is plant a garden.
What it means to me is that he is who he says he is ,a guy who cares ,you don't plant a Garden if you are a cynical power broker whose only goal is to kept the chain of exploitation unbroken.
Not saying it's a miracle of the ages or anything just that I respect him for doing this

I agree we don't focus on the positive ,I think if someone especially someone who is a public figure and a leader does something right it is our job to notice and reinforce that
