150,000 foreigners swell UK workforce: Record number get permits as Britons lose jobs

This issue was discussed about a month or two ago. The consensus was that if such an event were to be officialized, welfare for these foreign immigrants would be offered at the expense of national Britons' employment. It seems the predictions were correct. I suggest subsidizing education, with government funding, to all children whose parent's have been British citizens for 15 years or more, as well as any individual who has been a British citizen for 20 years or more, so as to possibly alleviate concerns Britons have for their futures.

Great! when in my small town that is already being flooded with polish folk the main factory there has just said 200 jobs are to go,

now do you keep those that are local and have been loyal to the firm for many years like first in last out or is that not PC. i know what i would do.

Thing is, Polish are here legally due to the EU. It's the swarm of unregistered illegals that come over on the trucks and trains that are the problem. Under the radar, they work cash in hand for minimal wages and poor housing, pay no taxes or NI, undercutting even the Poles, let alone any Brits...

Normally I wouldn't mind, but in such times, it should surely be stopped.

Britain will never again vote in a Labour or Socialist government? Wow, I wish I could think along those lines. The very reason so many ethnics are being let in is surely to guarantee Labour get in every time. Between 60 and 70% of ethnics vote left wing time after time, it's going to do Labour no wrong at least in the short term until they get their own parties.

Illegals and non-EU nationals CANNOT vote, until they are granted citizenship.

Having said that, of all the cases of electoral fraud over the past decade, every single one has been perpetrated by Labour voters of Asian descent......

EDIT: Oh, if anyone fancies a change of tack for their politics, check the English Democrats in my sig....

Illegals can't vote, but in time they will. So will their kids. An amnesty or two and another bloc of voters voting left wing. The majority of ethnics vote Labour every time. In the long term this can only be good news for Socialism.

If Labour even proposed such a thing, the peoples reaction would be swift and decisive.

But you're right, ethnic groups tend to vote left and in some communities, such as in the aforementioned electoral fraud, the "community leaders" will "encourage" their people to vote a certain way, curtailing democracy further.

Already happening where i live, although there are a majority of white councillors on the council round my way the number of Asians/Muslims on the council increases every election due to their elders telling them who to vote for, due to this all of the white councillors are #@$% scared of losing their seats and bias their decisions towards the Asian communities rather than any other racial group for instance in the local graveyard there was some vandalism recently so the council put a big metal fence around the Muslim graves and gave the relatives key's to get in whilst the graves belonging to all of the other races were left wide open to be desecrated willy nilly. Another example was last year when i went to the local council complaining about noise abuse from my next door neighbour ( a council tenant) they at first seemed to be happy to deal with it until i mentioned it was a Muslim family living next door at which point you could almost see their chin hit the floor as they started to cough and splutter and come out with numerous excuses why they couldn't do any thing.

More then 1,000,000 brits are working abroad. Should send them away?

UKIP are often dismissed as being nothing more than a group of cranks on the political fringe. As far as I'm aware they are nothing like the BNP and are definitely not racist. If anything they are the only party that's fit to govern this country and the only party that's looking out for our interests, both home & abroad. With UKIP there's no left, right wing conspiracy. What you see is what you get.

They are far from perfect, but they are the best out of a lousy bunch of political parties here in the UK.

When it comes to New Labour, things just go from bad to worse. I'm speechless. Our government is truly rotten to the core and completely devoid of a conscience.

So what?

It's a capitalist economy with a free market in an age of globalisation. The person that gets the job is the person that is best suited for it. I'm British and i'm annoyed by the sentiment that a job is 'ours' and is 'stolen' if someone from outside the country gets it. It's not 'ours' it's whomsoever is best qualified. If more Brits worked a bit harder then they'd get more jobs.

Considering that immigrants have such high birthrates, and refuse to adopt the customs of the nation which they invade, it is simply in ones self defense to work to stop excessive immigration. No welfare should be allowed for immigrants, and when unemployment rises over a certain level, immigration should be reduced to nothing, and an effort began to start sending immigrants back home.

The worlds population has exploded over the last couple of decades, not in the first world nations, but in the third world nations where they can't afford to support their own children. Our children shouldn't be forced to pay for the mistakes of others, and that is what opening the flood gates of immigration will do, punish future generations, who will become minorities in the nation in which they were born.

I think it is time to start talking with our wallets. Time for an international boycott by the workers of the free world. Buy only what is absolutely necessary. Concentrate on becoming politically active.

Some immigration was good in the past but now I feel that each established nation dependent on a steady flow of the economy and birthrates including social issues in which to get used to different cultures instead of putting pressure on so many different peoples needs when they have their own backlog of problems in the process. If they keep allowing this then society will turn into tribal zones of social conflicts.

There has never in the history of man where two different ideolgies co-existed longer than a few hundred years because population growth and call for independence spawn war. It's an on going process that man seems to inherit, we all wish for this dream where every race culture and religions get on. But eventually man's desperation or greed will once again seperate those groups once those population growths start to show. It's just the way we are, but why spoil a good thing we should not over populate our own nations but help to rebuild others in need but I guess leaders are never that success in that process, people these days would rather live in the countryside just to get some peace from each other.

I find that the UK is blind by their own show of tollerance and will allow the sheep to move next door to lions and wolves without considering the impacts. I guess eventually they will have to build fences and you wonder where that freedom has gone.

Now, let's not forget about all those Britons who leave Britain to retire elsewhere and in the end let that other country, which they have not supported through their entire working life, take care of them.

To pieman,i think you will find alot of immigrants try and adjust,its a hard thing to do.If i moved to another country i would find it hard,plus diversity is a good thing not bad.As for third world countries population exploding,of course it is,if western countries didn't rape their resources for a pittance(much of Africa is a prime example) we wouldnt have this problem,they have large families for a reason...more children = more income.Its all fine and dandy for us in the west to say its wrong when we make 20X or even more in an average sized family than they would with 8 children.People are trying to get by and live good lives.Nothing wrong with that.

I'm pro-immigration but this has gone far enough, it has exceeded the element of filling skilled sector vacancies. When will the British government realise that lax immigration isn't a compulsory obligation of governments. The government, particularly now, should first and foremost be looking to secure the jobs of it's own peoples. The harsh reality is that, the conservative alternative is proposing caps but not going far enough in offering a complete reform of immigration policy. I see the BNP garnering a real presence come the next election...

2500 people are losing their jobs every day in britain. Thats 17 and a half thousand a week, seventy thousand a month. In 2009 nearly three quarters of a million people are going to lose their jobs. 100 small buisneses are going bust every day. 150 thousand foreign workers what does the country need them for?
