Strange circles of ice circulating in a creek and rotating on a lake have been discovered in both the UK and Canada. The "natural" phenomena have caught the interest of scientists and amateur naturalists on two continents. These strange formations give UFO and crop circle enthusiasts something to do on a cold winters day!

Now this is just silly. These are natural formations and it has nothing to do with UFOs. You are seeing sheeps in the clouds mate. Now, let's got back to real UFO cases...

Cool (no pun intended), but it does make you wonder if such a thing could happen in air, or in rain or hail clouds.

Classic saucer shape and with light bouncing off it to become a shiny "metallic" ufo that's "driven" by air currents.

Although not paranormal - or caused by unknown reasons, for that matter - they are very beautiful and wondrous natural phenomena.

Its a frozen whirlpool.

exactly.
i grew up seeing these every winter at the base of the town's waterfalls.
they are caused by the current in the water spinning the ice in a circular motion.
