Mystery Prison Buses in the Desert

www.infowars.com

Wackenhut Services was founded by George Wackenhut in 1954 to provide prison guard services to state and federal governments. Mr. Wackenhut was reported to be something of a brawler himself, having once earned distinction beating up his business partner in a fist fight. Now owned by the Danish corporation G4S, Wackenhut Services has a sinister reputation for hiring thugs. It has been said that it’s hard to tell which is more dangerous, the prisoners or the guards.

Observers originally thought ...

This seems slightly sinister, but could of course be more innocent, but the question of secrecy remains, and also the question of why hire such obvious thugs from a company with a reputation for thuggery?

If the purpose IS completely innocent then why the need for secrecy - none of the locals knows anything about these buses except that they drive around empty and conduct "exercises" at unusual times.

There is a prison town not far away of course, but as the article says, in 2007 a DHS facility was also built - could this be where Obama plans to house the gitmo prisoners?

Or as the article states, is there a darker purpose?

Personally, I think this may be the new facility for housing gitmo prisoners - but time will tell.

Indeed that is a posibility - but I was thinking along the lines of the gitmo prisoners as a more reasonable explanation.

As I said, time will tell - hopefully it won't be too late.

Interesting article, makes you wonder what's going on. I hope all this isn't for Gitmo prisoners. They should just put them in the SUPERMAX prison in Florence Colorado. They already have the '93 WTC bombers there, along with Jose Padilla and Zacarias Moussaoui, among others.

I do wonder if the DHS facility is a regional holding area for Illegals. There is regional detention center for Illegals in Tacoma Washington, it's run under contract by GEO Group.

I once worked for a condo building that employed wakenhut security. The running joke was that if you had a heartbeat you could get a job as a wakenhut security officer, if you had a 5th grade education you could get a job as an armed wakenhut security officer.

Frankly these guys would had to have a thought before they could be thugs.
Im more worried about them letting prisoners out than being thugs.

As for the DHS facility, housing Gitmo prisoners, and the ever popular FEMA Internment Camp angle thats being presented, is there any physical proof?

Obama will probably use the buses to lock up reporters who ask him tough questions. Underhand or side arm sally meatball questions only please.

i was checking to see how many branch offices wackenhut had in various states and it appeared they are all over excepting alaska, hawaii and the northern most states, like maine, vermont. they have an international account in 100 countries

Group 4 Securicor plc, with operations in more than 100 countries on 6 continents, offers security directors - with multi-continent responsibilities and the authority to drive local buying decisions at the country level - the benefits of its unique International Accounts Program.
www.g4s.com...

this is a danish organization. i wonder what G4S stands for? ok, it stands for Group 4 Securicor, plc

G4S plc (formerly Group 4 Securicor, LSE: GFS, OMX: G4S) is the world's largest security services provider. Formed by the merger of Securicor and Group 4 Falck in July 2004, it employs over 500,000 people across more than 100 nations and six continents. Its services include manned security, operation of criminal justice systems, electronic security systems, and financial services including cash transfer.

this is quite disturbing.....human rights violations

[edit] Critical ObservationsG4S was the subject of a global campaign by union workers alleging that subsidiaries undermine labour and human rights standards. Some of these groups were organised under the banner of the SEIU funded Focus on Group 4 Securicor.[12] This group backed protests at Group 4 Securicor's annual general meeting in London in 2005[13] and 2006. The 2006 US State Department Report on Human Rights in Indonesia released in March 2006 featured the on-going dispute in Jakarta with Group4/Securicor.[14] In July 2006 the Indonesian Securicor workers had a substantial win - but the campaigners continue to support other Group 4 Securicor workers.[15]

The company has long disputed these claims and points to its strong relationships with unions around the world, including the GMB in Britain[16], with which it hosted a joint parliamentary reception the night before the 2006 annual general meeting.

In December 2008 G4S and UNI, the global union, announced the launch of an Ethical Employment Partnership, which will drive improvements in standards across the global security industry.[17]

Also in December 2008, G4S and the SEIU reached an agreement to end the long dispute and establish a framework to work together in the interest of employees.[18]

I remember these guys now - they took over prisoner transport on contract for the UK government, and then started losing prisoners left right and centre.

Arizona will be over run with escappes if these guys are in charge!

The PDF file which includes the 2007 accounts found here states:

USA
• Protection of US defence facilities
• Support to the US military
• US embassy security in 39 countries
• Fire fighting for US armed forces in Iraq

Interesting.

I'm going to read the rest of the file and see if anything else stands out.

Also listed as protecting the Kazakhstan oil pipeline, and various EU and NATO buildings.

Ok, after having a quick read through, they are trying to expand quickly into the US, and they have ties (mostly in Europe at the moment) to the banks, the police, the prison services and the courts.

They also have ties to Iraq - so the contracting picture becomes a little clearer.

They are responsible for "cash integrity" which I believe means checking for forgeries.

Through their ties to NATO, I assume they have made US contacts, and that these contacts are helping them expand in the US, which will also mean that will have even closer ties to the banks etc.

Currently, (2007) the US is 25% of their business and they are also moving away from their core business of security services into cash services (bank vans, delivering cash etc) where last year it was cash 22% and security 78% in 2996 it was cash 21% security 79%, but that's mainly in Europe.

With the continued expansion into the US markets (and I expect this to be quite rapid in business terms) they will look to achieve a balance between the 2 core services.

This is a big company with a lot of contacts, a lot of inside information, and a history of screwing up and hiring thugs.

So, whether they are going to take charge of the gitmo prisoners, or if they are there for some other purpose, my belief is that you wouldn't want these guys in charge of anything.

Same as other contractors in Iraq, they look to be pretty ruthless, and not above botching the job or over chraging for services.

Wackenhut are just one more aspect of the dark heart of the Prison-Industrial Complex. Conspiracy theories leave me cold and NWO theories don't appeal at all. The growing threat to the American public from this growth industry is very real and the evidence is available for all to see. Cheap clothes that we take for granted from the Third World will be replaced by the free/ cheap labor economy that Wackenhut represents. They have a history of working closely with Govt. security services...

The second largest private jailer is Wackenhut Corrections, with about 17,000 beds at 24 facilities. Named after its founder, former FBI agent George Wackenhut, the firm is a subsidiary of Wackenhut's private security service, which made it big more than forty years ago by scooping up contracts to guard America's nuclear waste dumps and testing installations. Wackenhut also did some freelance spooking. By the late sixties the corporation had dossiers on three million American "potential subversives." This was the largest collection of private surveillance files in American history and was later handed over to the FBI. By the 1970s and 1980s the company had expanded into strikebreaking and guarding US embassies. George Wackenhut still runs the business from his castle-like mansion in Florida and from the deck of his yacht, Top Secret.
Source

George Bush had ties to the Prison Industrial Complex and Wackenhut going back to his days as Gov of Texas. His Presidency was financially supported by Wackenhut.

When rehabilitation is finally abandoned as the PR exercise it already is, we'll be left with a Prison System that drives the economy and is recession proof. 3 strikes rules, racial profiling and more draconian laws will ensure that America's already oversized prison population continues to expand.

The United States has less than 5 percent of the world's population. But it has almost a quarter of the world's prisoners.
Source

I don't know what the prison buses are there for, but I see them as a sign of things to come. FEMA camps are unnecessary when America is already locking up so many of it's citizens. The economy might become addicted to the wealth the prison population will eventually generate. When that happens it will already be too late.

This facility is part of the Central Arizona Detention Center:

www.correctionscorp.com...

It is a facility used by several government agencies such as the US Marshals Service and other Homeland Security Agencies.

It is operated by a private company like hundreds of other prisons in the United States.

The US Marshals Service has several facilities like this as well as airports such as the one in Kansas City where they keep and transfer prisoners across the country.

If people can keep from being mesmerized at Alex Jones' psychedelic garbage heap of a website it only takes a couple of clicks to verify the information.

Don't be sheeple. It's just as dangerous to believe everything Alex Jones says as it is to believe everything the government says.

Think! Look! Listen!

The reason for the remoteness and the buses is that the facility is used for the transfer of federal prisoners in US Marshal Service custody. These are some of the most dangerous and deadly prisoners and the isolation is one buffer in the event of an escape.

The same goes for Con-Air. There are some great documentaries on the Marshals and their transportation divisions on Nat Geo and TLC.

Transferring dangerous prisoners is a difficult and risky task and the farther out in the desert it happens the better.

That being the case, look out for plenty of dangerous prisoners on the loose.

These guys have a history of screwing up badly - and they have the contacts to get away with it.

That's a good point.

It's like the whole thing about the best place to loot if the SHTF. The workers at Wal-Mart surely wouldn't give a damn about looters when they have no reason to be loyal to a giant corporation.

I wonder if private prison employees make more or less money than government employees? and benefits?

If I worked for a private company in that situation I'd probably just hand them the keys if things started erupting and get the hell out of Dodge.

I have seen some of these buses, performing various functions...

The facility which opened in 2007, stated in the article, I believe is the new Tucson sector Border Patrol compound. It is located on the edge of Davis Monthan AFB @ Golf links and S.Swan road. The BP has a bout a thousand patrol vehicles, mainly SUVs.

The buses transport BP agents to some remote outposts, at shift change, and return those who have completed the shift. The windows are shaded. Seeing inside to determine the occupancy is made more difficult due to the height of the windows from the road elevation. In a lower profile vehicle, along-side a bus, one cannot see the the top of the seatbacks/headrests.

The prisoner transports that can be seen, originate at the Ferderal detention center on S. Kolb Road, and proceed to Tucson International Airport. The route is direct, and south of the city, not hidden,or otherwise secretive. The prisoners are illegal entrants due for repatriation. They board (or, at least up til a year ago) an AERO Mexico flight for a prepaid flight back home.( Some reports from associates that have been attendants on these flights indicate that many are repeat fliers that ask about earned flight miles.:lol

My roommate worked for Wackenhut for six years. He enjoyed his employment, though at a mining facility, and not associated with the buses.

And Wackenhut does provide a variety of security services to government, as well, as private firms. In doing so they have a high level of qualifications to join their organization, at least moreso than your average employer.

All in all I would say that there is nothing here that should alarm anyone. Business of securing our American status quo, as usual.
