The road that I have travelled
was paved with good intentions
Laughter, tears, pain, joy
things best left unmentioned

I have strived throughtout my life
the make the most of time
Only to learn along the way
that there is no reason or rhyme

To try and make sense of anything
now makes no sense at all
you have to learn to walk
and learn that it's okay to fall

I have learned that people hurt you
ones you love will cause you pain
I've learned to ride the storm of life
and to dance happily in the rain...

Very nice, Greenize. It certainly appeals to my sensibilities about both life and poetry. Simple, heartfelt and genuine.

Thank you! I am glad that you liked it. Poetry I have found, is a great way to relieve stress. I appreciate your taking the time to read it!

And I completely agree as writing or poetry can really help you vent in most situations. Hell I even have angry poetry!
Keep it up.
