Whatever that thing is - if it's not a fake I'm never ever setting a rat trap again!
That thing is just horrid!
Great find - hoax or not!

Ya I was thinking the same thing lol

I actually kind of felt bad for whatever it is that got stuck in it assuming it wasn't a hoax.

I wouldn't mind hearing a translation as well.

If it isn't a hoax my guess it is that its the remains of a small monkey (like a spider monkey) or lemur that caught in there..

Well, judging by the proportions, it is probably not a monkey. Also, I would think that they would have recognized the remains as being from a monkey, and not labeled it "Strange Creature".

That said, I personally think it looks like an Alien.

Man that is fricken crazy! GREAT FIND! S & F.

I speak spanish, so I'll give you the basics of what they said.

They had set a rat trap, and tucked it kind of out the way. And one day one of the employees noticed this showed up in the trap. Of course no one had ever seen anything like this before.

But to me it fits the description of a small chupacabra perfectly!

They go on to say that some other weird events have happened too, like animals becoming scared and causing a ruckus. And then the one guy says that one of his biggest birds got attacked and half eaten. So then he put the remains in the trap you see him hold up, to try and catch rats. Well he came back and to his surprise, all the remains were gone from the trap! He points out that rats really don't eat all that much, and usually leave the rest of what they eat.

If only they had noticed it long before it decomposed to that point, so we could see more features.

Strange! I don't recall them saying much about taking it in for analysis, but they really need to!

looks like a mutated sort of ape to me? Maybe?

Unless it was found like that, in which case what the hell is WRONG with that thing?

To be completely honest it looks like a mummified owl monkey.

The big eyes, makes it seem like that. Thats my guess...

I am quite certain this is a little monkey.

And it really, REALLY pisses me off that people use those kind of traps. Can you imagine what an agonizing, painful death this poor little monkey suffered, struggling to get free?

Sometimes I am just so ashamed to be a human.

The head does look very similar to an owl monkey skull.

I'm going with the monkey theory as well. That was my first thought when I saw it and I'm sticking to it. Perhaps it is not a native monkey and that is why it was relatively shocking to them. IMO it is definitely some type of small primate even if it turns out to be previously unclassified.

Either an alien baby or mexico's answer to the monkey based "mermaid" promoted by P.T. Barnum.

Hello to every one!
Well, the translation provided is great, what do you think about the fact that the bird eaten was a harris eagle, a carnivore itself, with their own weapons. One of the workers said he sae another being, this time alive, entering the property. I don't know for sure, but im almost sure there are no monkeys in Mexico valley, remember, it is more than 2200 metrers (some 6,000 feet ) above the sea level and its cold...you find pine forests there, not jungle. By the way, i do live in northern state of Durango, semi desert and sierra (pine forest again) and very high too.
It is to be mentioned than the workers are veterinarians.
I think about DNA tests...

I'm pretty sure owl monkeys can/do live at higher elevations, they just grow thicker fur.

if you shaved all of its fur, got rid of its ears and made the eyes a bit darker, it would pass as the ancestor of the classic gray alien. Maybe they evolved larger brains first and invented antigravity ships.

Looks like a decomposing monkey...also, were they using bear traps to kill rats?
