Expressing the most excitement in Hope and Change that I have felt in 8 years! I feel an amazing lifting of repression and opression that has been
upon us in the United States and the world for the last 8 years!
I know how there are many threads about Obama - being the anti-christ and he will not change anything. Him keeping the illumanati plan going and so
on.
I have read through threads and I have not allowed myself to get excited over the fact that Bush might actually leave office, until the moment it
happened. I have doubted Obama also, and still have some doubt...BUT...I have more hope than I have had in 8 years - now that the moment has finally
come.
Since we have read the various threads and know about the dark and hard days ahead, I think it is a good idea to take this moment and feel the energy
and positive thoughts that are happening here in the U.S and the world.
To say something personally about myself, I had until 8 years ago, felt positive about everything in life and I lived my life that way. I would go
out and be determined to endure and conquer and felt anything was possible.
When Bush took office, I felt the repression and I felt that he was not in office to help you and me (if we are regular people), but in office to
further his own and his friend's agendas for their own benefit and to hell with the rest of us. I feel my life went into a dark cave, and I could
not see light at the end of the tunnel/cave. I changed in many ways that were not good, I have felt no hope nor have had the energy or ambition to
get out and take on the world.
Today, I jumped up and down, I yelled and danced around with happiness, I hugged everyone I could - I let my joy show. I put out American flags all
around my house and on my car - I am looking forward to being a proud American once more in my life. There was an istant release of dark energy and
feelings when Obama took the oath of office and gave his inaugral speech. I had always been a proud American before Bush, but once Bush came in
office - when I traveld outside the country - I was ashamed to be an American - because of his polices, torture, invading other countries, the list
goes on and on.
So this thread is not about what some say Obama is or will do - of some horrible nature.
This thread is about the positive and about how my view of the future is now changed and I myself feel changed today from how I have felt for the last
8 years. I forgot what it felt like to have hope for the future, until today. I kept my excitment bottled up - as I did not want to get too many
hopes invested in case something happened before Obama took office and we would be stuck with Bush.
This thread is also not about Bush - we all know what a horrible person he is, and there are other threads we can all go to and post and voice those
opinions.
I look at the future now - even though we are facing the worst crisis America and the world has ever faced, with a brightness and light I had not seen
for 8 years. I am looking forward to getting back to how I used to be, feeling the happiness and enjoying life more, by feeling our leader is now
going to work for all of us - not the PTB. Though it will be hard, I really feel we can all do it together and I look forward to Obama wiping out
those terrible Executive Directives that Bush had put into affect.
Wow - the darkness is no more - anything feels possible now!
Celebrate a new beginning - give that beginning a chance!
It may be a long road, but I feel Obama truely wants to work for you and me to make the world a better place! We do all have to do it together - we
can not expect our government to give us everything. I also have hope that the government will be more opened and undo what has been done the last 8
years also.
Yes, I know for someone to get to be President, they are basically owned, but......I feel Obama is different.
So I invite others to write if you feel the hope of the U.S. now going in a brand new direct that now has sunshine as the dark clouds have finally
passed.

Im glad you feel good, but I believe the oppression is still there.
Just in a different form.
If Obama lifts the Patriot act, I will feel truly un oppressed.
But he isn't gonna do that.

I too felt like a repressive heavy shroud had been lifted from my shoulders when I saw on the television President Obama escorting our disgraced ex
president to the door, not a minute too soon! I am a realist, I know our new president is only human and will in all likely hood not perform miracles.
But he did NOT steal this election from his opponent, he won fair and square. And, unlike the last eight years, I actually feel a hopeful vibrant
energy coursing through America. I hope it lasts past Inauguration day!

So you are only proud to be American when your guy is in office? That's pretty disgusting. I am no fan of Obama, but I am incredibly proud to be an
American. Your actions are no better than the 9/11 patriots that flew flags for a few weeks and then forgot about the whole thing. I agree with you
that this country is heading down the wrong path. Unfortunately, sunshine and puppy dogs will do nothing to guide us in the right direction.
I am however happy that you are enjoying yourself so much. We should all be happy and joyful no matter what happens. Enjoy what you have to the best
of your abilities. Best of luck in 2009!

I had always been proud to be an American, until Bush began inflicting harm upon us and the world with callousness!
I also found in traveling outside the U.S. that people had no respect for Americans - and yes I was embarassed to be from America. But now I will
hold my head up high once more, due to the fact that we have entered a brighter day and the Katrina type storm of the past administration is behind
us!

For all those who feel as if they have reached the surface and are now feeling fresh air and sunlight,
For those who are stepping out after the hurricane,
For those who feel repression has ended.
Take deep breath, you'll need it.
The hurricane is not over, this is the eye of the storm,
The wave of change will drown you once more and submerge your vision,
Repression has only just begun.

Once again, I am happy that you are so jubilant. Unfortunately, this is what we call the "honeymoon" period. Eventually something will have to be
done about the current problems we face. If we fail to solve these problems you may one day introducing yourself as (insert name here) from the
confederate states of the former Unites States, or something to that effect.
These problems are very real. Do not allow these feelings of nirvana to cloud your thoughts and judgements.

I actually missed the inauguration, but----, I feel like you do He is one of us, he will not allow the shadow government to rule him, he made sure all
their little rituals didn't work today, he was late to everything, and the inauguaration was flawed. So, that tells me, that he is not going to be
the same bs we have had for the past 100 years of oppression. Has anyone seen Richard Hoaglands', "The Hyperdimentional Election of Obama and
2012"? You need to. I found it here, for free, in the documentaries, just click on the "Documentaries" It will be part 1 and 2, it is 2 hours and
you will find it very interesting.

Repression has not ended, its just wearing a new suit and face. There will be abit of fannying about but after that it will be back to business, more
war, more murder, more corruption, more profiterring, its the way of America is it not. That land of oppertunity and enterprise, well we have
certainly seen that over the past 8 years. How many dead, how many murdered, how many tortured, how many lost homes, how many lost jobs, how many have
been robbed etc. etc.

I thought that it was hilarious that you were happy and unhappy because of the skill of a politician's speechwriters and the media.
But now I'm more disturbed. It scares me.

i love how way left democrats perceive responsibility as repression. like, hey man, don't keep me oppressed by expecting me to feel responsible for
the defense of my country.
also, when you realize that obama is just a lawyer (sounds like liar) with a command of rhetoric, it's easy to see how he manipulates words to create
slightly altered literal "statements" to create several interpretations of the same position on an issue, account of a historical event, or personal
opinion. He's a forked tongue devil, that sleek mister obama.
Not saying that makes him a bad person, per se. But if you think he wasn't pleased as punch for being handed a plum like paying off all his LOBBIES
and buddy's in business in one fell swoop by enacting a trillion dollar stimulus package...you're just not paying attention.
Right now we got a tax cheat running the IRS, obamas campaign finance advisor was the guy in charge of failing fredie and fannie, his spiritual
advisor uses the pulpit for hate speech, his number one media supporter is a talk show host, and he knows as much about business as a doctor knows
about steelworking.
Whatever credit he takes for ending "Bush's Vietnam in Iraq" will be spent when the next guy takes credit for Obama's Vietnam in Afghanistan.
I love how somehow Bush gets blamed for 911 when WTC was bombed in 1993 and Bill Clinton knew about AlQueda threat back then and did little to secure
the US.
And I don't see how any law-abiding person is being oppressed by Patriot Act.

There are some of us who never, ever felt asleep while a Big Brother was repeating hypnotic mantra of American Dream.
What you are experiencing here and now is REALITY in progress, mighty Capitalism biting again the very hand which feeds it...
Does it really matter what kind of flavor it has, democratic or republican ?
It's been happening for a very, very long time

OH, the day I wrote this seems so LONG AGO - wow have things changed in no time!!
You asked me how it was going?
As I smile and say: "Not exactly, as I hoped it would"
In fact it is the Opposite than I hoped.
I do see, there is no change but worst change.
Funny, how just a couple or 3 months can change a perspective on things.
What do I think?
I think we are completely %^&@!!!!
take a guess at what that word is suppose to mean!

I'm sorry that you are disappointed. But I'm glad that you are now able to see that obama is nothing more than a typical lawyer-politician who lied
to get what he wanted. He has broken all his major campaign promises and has caused the financial mess he inherited to be MUCH WORSE. His power
grab of moving the census to the White House is incredible as well.
Sorry about your disappointment but I give ya a for seeing it as it really is.

OP, you have been suckered into believing that there is a difference between the Republicons and the Demoncrats.
They are the same party, the opposite sides of the dialectic. Why do you think they don't want any true 3rd party candidates?

If you read my last posting above, you will find I have come "to see the light" of truth in the 2 party system. I might not have spelled it out
that way, but believe me, at this point........ I have no alligence to either party anymore.
Nor do I believe there is a "real" difference, in fact.... as much as I wanted Bush out, it seems we are getting the most unbelievable and horrible
legislation out of this Demo.. CONgress than before.
The bills that are in place to be voted on and the ones that have been voted on and approved over the last few months, are tearing down our rights
even more.
I HAVE WOKEN UP!!! I AM NOT ASLEEP Anymore!!

I'm just happy that the USA is back to just an averagely bad politician in the White House instead of the worst president in history :p I don't
think Obama is some kind of messiah, but he certainly is better than Bush (anyone would be) and in comparison Obama seems amazing, but he's probably
about an average president, at least so far. It's like eating a meal of ramen after 8 years of human feces; we'll take any improvement we can get!
