Thanks for the input. Bad habit noted and corrected.
I get a bit ahead of myself with these music threads

The Tragically Hip-The Darkest ones
What's a Canadian Music thread without the Hip? And the Trailer Park Boys. And Don Cherry.

The Barenaked Ladies- If I Had Million Dollars.

Some rock and roll from my part of the country.

Sloan-Underwhelmed.

This was their very first single way back in the early nineties. Highly under-rated and overlooked band.

The Trews.-Not ready go.

This could have been the theme song for my relationships/life until I was 30.
As one of my chefs used to like to sing at staff parties...
"Momma, don't let your babies grow up to cooks."

The Jimmy Swift Band-Turnaround.

Great band. I have seen them so many times I have lost count.

Slowcaoster-Holdin' the Fort.

Theses guys are so much fun live. I'm in that crowd and this video doesn't do it justice. There's about 2500-3000 people there. It's a great weekend every year.

Since I put four vids in the last post, I'll only through two into this one.

Matt Mayes and El Torpedo-Time of Your Life ('til Yer Dead)

I like this song but this guys a
. Good band though.

Matt Minglewood-Can't You See

A cover of the Marshall Tucker Band song. Even they said this song may be better than there version. He throws a very Down East spin to it though. For anybody that bothers to listen to it, I have lived and/or visited almost every town he names in the song. This is my favourite cover of all time.

Only one video for tonight. Before you mock the artist, watch the video.

Avril Lavigne-When You're Gone

At 2:05, the comments mention that 93 soldiers have died. Unfortunately, that number has risen to 108. May they all rest in peace.

Ok I lied, two video's.

Lay Me Doone - A Farewell to the Brave

All these video's are from probably my favourite concert dvd, The Last Waltz.
Look at the lineup for this show...

Paul Butterfield, Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond, Bob Dylan, Ronnie Hawkins, Dr. John, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Ringo Starr, Muddy Waters, Ronnie Wood and Neil Young.

I'm going to cheat a little bit with this one.

The Band with Eric Clapton-Further On Up The road

Ronnie Hawkins-Who Do You Love

And the Jam at the end of this concert, way back in '76.

Part 1.

Part 2.

If I'm feeling mellow, Gordon Lightfoot:

Listen to it. Good tune.

If I want to rock out, Protest the Hero:

OK, that was pretty hard.

The Trews, from my home province. This song rocks:

You can't talk about new Canadian music without these 2 bands.

Billy Talent:

Three Days Grace:

There's a lot more. Canadian music is exploding. If you want more let me know.
