Three different genres with three different amazing Canadian artists.

Blues.

John Campbelljohn- Slow Down.

One of the world's best slide guitarists.

Afrobeat

Mr. Something Something-Sound the Alarm

You ever have a chance to catch these guys live, GO!

Celtic

Mary Jane Lamond w/ Ashley MacIsaac- Sleepy Maggie

A modern take on a very old song. The lyrics are in Gaelic.

Man, I never realized we had THAT many Canadian Mods.

And not a Québécois amongst them.

C'est triste.

[modhide]I feel a BB&Q "Too many Canadian mods!" thread brewing[/modhide]

Gools is our token French Canadian, but he isn't Quebecios. Close enough?

A band I remember fondly from elementary school (and I still have the vinyl I rushed out to buy), the Headpins!

And here's Darby some twenty odd years later proving she's still got it (turn down your speakers)....

Stars-Your Ex-Lover is Dead

sorry 'bout the Harry Potter fan vid, it is the only decent quality vid on youtube for this tune. the original is hauled down, which seems to be happen' a lot lately.

Viovod-Astronomy Domine
Probably one of my top five covers of all time. This song is so dark.

Arcade Fire- Intervention

The Headstones-Tweeter and the Monkey Man
Another great cover by a top notch rock and roll band.

Yea, it's an absolutely amazing cover. I love Pink Floyd but this is one case where I personally think the cover is better than the original. There aren't many bands that can even do Floyd justice but this is in a class of it's own.

And not to waste a post.

Captain tractor- Up the Hill.

The Rheostatics-Bad Time to be Poor

The Joel Plaskett Ememrgency- Work out fine

If you're not writing what you're posting, there's no way for anyone to search the thread and see if something has already been posted. And if your video goes dead, no one will ever know what it was that you posted. Just saying.
