He probably is, then again he hasn't gotten the chance to do anything yet - well at least to Bush's scale.

I'm just saying still people need to make a choice whether it was Bush's own act of trying to become rich, or it was illuminati or some space aliens (Whichever floats ones boat) was manipulating the strings of the country and Bush along with his pals. Like earlier if it is the latter then we are booing the wrong person.

I did a jig in my living room as President Obama escorted Bush out.

And talk about NO CLASS, did you see the way Dubya ditched his poor long suffering wife, just walked off and left her hanging? Classy. Unlike Obama, who lovingly held his wifes hand.

Bush is a criminal, and a scoundrel, just like Cheney. Their karma is worn on their faces and bodies.

I so comlpetely agree, I danced and cried. These last eight years have been horrible for us here in the US. the intimidation by our own lawless government, and the exploitation of our national resources by cheney and co is a crime that I pray will be prosecuted. Stand with us again Europe, we have shed the chains of oppression, and sent the criminals home. Hey there, I missed that part but I saw most of the inaguration.

To be honest, I think the Bush admin is one of the wors, if not the worst presidential administrations in US history.

But I was raised to never boo as it is rude and just not appropriate ever.

I remember when I was little going to a few sporting events. If I booed my mom would always yell at me for booing. She would say dont do that! its rude and it only makes you look bad because its a sign you have bad manners etc....

I must say that if I had been there I would not have booed anyone. I probably would not have applauded but I certainly would not boo.

Booing like that only makes on look incosiderate and rude. Taunting them saing "we won, ha ha" Makes one look childish and and arrogant.

There is an old saying " If you can't say anything nice, dont say anything at all"

That is what should have been done. Its alot more respectful to just sit there and do nothing than to boo.

Im willing to bet that they already know how the majority of the world feels about them and I see no reason to rub it in.

Whoever boo'd failed to realize that the whole world was watching and in a way they were representing america. We are hated enough as it is. I dont want them thinking even worse of us. They only succeeded in making Obama and the rest of his supporters (including me) look badly

I would not go as far as to say I am ashamed of america as a whole, but I am ashamed of everyone that booed.

I do like Obama as president, at least at the moment. I am reserving any real judgement(good bad or otherise) untill he has been in office for a while and has actually had a chance to do something.

I must say, I am ashamed of everyone who boo'd. If you cant say anything nice, dont say anything at all...

So we have an enormous crowd there to watch the inauguration of Obama as 44th president.

I would *guess* it's safe to say that the people standing out in that cold were not exactly Bush (or McCain for that matter) supporters.

SO the *people* in the crowd who were booing the outgoing executive branch, and their wives would have consisted of...

Mostly Obama supporters - right?

SO... now that we have this established, we know where the classless, adolescent behavior came from, don't we?

I'm not really concerned about the booing. I say boo the son of a bitch until he's in a jail cell.

I do agree it would have been more effective to ignore him and sit silent, but booing is just fine.

I can't believe people actually want to show George W. Bush respect after the bull# he put this country through. Who gives a # if he gets booed.

don't forget that Bush doesn't care what Americans think of him.

We cheered when the Berlin wall went down. We cheered when the statue of Sadaam went down. Now we cheer for Bush going down.

If it was me, I would of respectively kept silent. But I am sure others have lost far more then me under his term.

thankfully you couldn't hear the 'boos' on the channel i was watching but it was reported they happened and imo that kind of behaviour is just crass. but you know ... whatever.

i'm not a bush fan myself but i also watched his homecoming and was happy to see them get a warm welcome back in texas. his speech there was really good too, very defensive which indicates he's hurt by the critisim but he threw a lot of humour into it too ... good on him.

You know for the first time in a long time I didn't felt animosity for bush and actually felt that he like many presidents before him was just that, another president leaving the white house and becoming part of our history.

I was too emotional for anything that was going on to be mad at anybody.

Yes you are right it was not the appropriate time to do the booing, when the nation is celebrating hope.

You are right Js it was tacky.

I hate Bush too, but that isn't the point.

Even if you don't respect the man, you should respect the office the man holds.

Booing any president, no matter how bad, is stooping down to Bush's level.

Why do people ASSUME he (Bush) is a bad guy? YOU DON'T KNOW THE TRUTH!!! And sadly enough, you never will. Politics = Lies. Bush lied to you. and Obama WILL lie to you, and me, starting today. Don't expect miracles from the usher of the antichrist (or was that Bush's role).

I watched it, woke up early and everything, although i didn't waste my vote on him, i will support him in everything President Obama will do, his duty as POTUS is to make tough decisions (same with Bush) and it is our duty as citizens of the USA to support him (and the duty of cittizens of other nations is to be jealous and ridicule, harass and exaggerate everything we do)

Man, I wish you guys were around the Pittsburgh Penguins forums.

For those of you who don't follow hockey, or the Pittsburgh Penguins, Pens fans had a nack to boo Jaromir Jagr, who left the team under a controversial situation. The big topic this pre-season, was whether or not we should boo NHL All-Star Marian Hossa, who left the team to play on a better, more mature team. The forums were spit about 50/50.

Issues were brought up such as class, respect, etc. This may be a bad analogy (a simple sport to the future of a nation), but I still am ashamed that people actually "booed" Bush. As a center dweller (Moderate), I agree, cheering both of them would have been the right thing to do. I believe it just goes to show us what the majority truly thought of him, as if the polls hadn't done so already. Still, pretty embarassing. Not that I'd expect hollering and hooting for Bush Jr., but at least a light applause would have done fine.

I had to think about this one guys, I was at first disappointed that it happened to Bush, let the guy leave with civility. I'm tired of the college boys running campaigns and the parties fighting like children and would love a return to old fashion civility and good manors. But on the other hand, this man hurt untold thousands and with the mismanagement of the economy, he has hurt millions across the globe. It happened and he deserved a send off that he will remember to his grave, his stupidity should haunt him.
