But...er....i think it may have been a ploy by the alien/bird hybrid race, to convince you it was a bird...!

Er no... it WAS a bird, 100%

Bloody Rods!!

It's funny, cause I do believe that there are U.F.O.s and ET's. I certainly
have no proof. And when I saw this I really did think that it was possibly
a UFO caught on tape. Upon rewinding 5 times it was clear that it was a
bird. Insects wings flap to fast for your brain to make out the flapping
motion. It was a bird, possibly a duck.

The thing is that I do not see wings flapping. The image is skewed when it first enters the screen! I don't think it's a bird and trust me, I'm the biggest skeptic when it comes to the "OMG IT'S A FREAKIN' ALIEN!!" threads!

I'm not saying it's an alien. I'm saying it is an Unidentified flying object. I truly believe that it can't be a bird. Doesn't mean I'm trying to make it something ridiculously amazing.

I think this is because you are watching the video in a window roughly
4 x 6. I can't see the flapping with the video provided here either.
However I know what I watched 5 times over in slow motion on a 60 inch HDTV.
BIRD!!!

Is it just me or has the video now dissapeared?
Maybe I'll put this second line here.

Some bird species can fly at 320km/h, so don't be surprised about that!

Man.....Why don't you try first to get a "normal" explanation to these things, and if not able, then ok it can be an Unidentified Flying Object.

And Portugoal, birds can glide, they don't need to be always using their wings. More, birds get their full speed while glidind!

Great a bird can glide. I never said that it can't
I just said i don't see wings flapping and (i'm guessing you read the entire thread) that was the main argument as to why the UFO was a bird.

you sound smart enough - why don't you put this baby to rest by doing the calculations of distance vs speed -if you sodtware that can pause at say 30 frames per second - and calculate the distance using google earth - then post the calculated results... also there are reports of UFo having an organic element - and others where scout ships shoot wings out of craft body to adjust direction changes... has to do with the gavity here on earth... been phtographed many times... look like wings if caught at certain point.. little more like a bee wing movement than plane or bird though... so if your calculation come back outside the relm of known bird flight then we can say UFO right - cause it wont be a bird - can't be a conventional plane. cant wait...ive already done this but i want you to do it for yourself 0 or any other doubting thomas's out there... waiting

I say Bird/Insect on this one

I say it's one or the other close to the camera flying at an angle that gives the optical illusion of flying a big distance

i just pulled this movie apart for a close look and it does seem to be a bird but the image is too blurry even after decompression o really be sure... the one thing i did notice tho is the object is actually a lot closer than it appears to be as the photographer was in zoom and i would imagine he was zoomed in quite away ..so this is just another classic case optical illusion thanks to the ever seeing and ever lying eye of the camera u must remember the camera has no 3 dimensional view range its only a 2 dimensional image wich makes distance very hard to interpret and if u use the land marks this was flying waaay to low to be a craft as it flew under tree limbs and then dissapeard out of the optical range fast wich says to me the cam was close to max zoom....

there is no way a bird can make it across like that.. and if bird was flying close to cam it would be more discernible especially considering the fact that this is a high end camera...

And yet it is discernible enough for most people here to make out it is is bird. Hell, on just the small window on my computer I can tell it is a bird.

And since you do not know either the size of the bird or its distance from the camera, you cannot make the determination it was flying over 300 mph.

Here, now it is an identified flying object, but hey I can understand why you would think 2 million people didn't see it but you could in a blurry internet video.

I laughed so hard.
Great post.
Definitely a bird.
And you know- Two million people missed it, but good sleuth work

Very good spot, that is not a bird, it is way too fast to be a bird. A bird could not cross that distance in 1 or 2 secs as that did, plus it is too big to be a bird.

Good job seeing that! It was a UFO, making their presence known.

Its a fast bird! Hell, I just watched one fly over my roof away from my glass slider door JUST LIKE THAT!

.....hell, might have been the same damn bird. THAT would be impressive because I'm in Iowa!

LOOK up in the sky... It's a bird... It's a plane... NO, It's SUPERMAN.
Only Superman could fly that fast
LOL

LOL! I knew it!

I said to my girlfriend...

"You watch, in a few hours someone will be claiming to have seen a UFO over the inauguration"!

Thanks for keeping the threads so predictable!

Hahaha, that's awesome. Someone speculated rods as well.
I am all about disclosure and U.F.O. stuff, but the TV i saw it on
left no room for 2nd guesses.
Twas a bird.
The sooner we can all accept it,
the sooner we can start a new Billy Meiers thread.

But did you see the other "ufo" at 48-58 seconds in?
Or is it an "ifo?"

There needs to be "one" in order for there
to be an "other" ufo.

I.F.O. indeed.
Helicopter...
Wait.. you were joking right?!

Anybody notice that even on the lower quality image posted here it's obvious that the object moved in FRONT of the monument. It didn't need to cover that much distance seeing as it could have be as close as 20 feet from the camera.
