OK. I will be easy on you. It is clearly a bird flying by.
Not a UFO

I see what you mean.but what still is strange to me is the the bird covered more than 800 feet in about 1.5 seconds.this is evident from the vantage point of the cameraman and the relative size of the people walking below. however I have never been to washington so i would be familiar with the size of this particular area.

well.......if thats a bird its a supersonic super bird.

it makes a couple quick little jogs in the air to... as if correcting the course...in that hard jerky manner that odd unknown craft seem prone to do.

I am hoping someone can slow this down.....and maybe we can focus on the objest that you people up there are calling a 'bird'

WHAT birds on this planet fly that friggen fast?

Excellent catch and good vid!

I watched that live as it happened on a pretty big HDTV
and can say for certain it was a bird.
Wings a flappin'..
Good catch though.
Keep your eyes to the sky!

Ye it's no bird. It's way to fast and big relative to the surrounding area and camera angle.

Could it not be a military jet of some sort? f-16s or something?

I'm sure enough of those were nearby.

Good catch!

However after close examination it is indeed a bird.

You can tell because the object wavers (like a bird does when flapping its wings).

A UFO does not waver like that when it is moving. And it is much brighter. (I have seen several UFOs first hand).

But wouldn't an f-16 make noise actually

The people on the ground don't acknoledge it...maybe that's the most telling thing.

It Could be a bird, but I don't think so. It looks a bit too fast for a bird in my opinion. I suppose it could be a jet or something. I don't have a clue, it's moving too quickly. We need some of the resident bods to come on and take screen shots and magnify the image a few times to get a better picture of the object.

I watched this live on a 60 inch HDTV...
When my friend and I saw it, we thought the same thing.
DVR-TV allowed us to watch it in slow motion and pause.
Wings flapping.. It's a bird.

If it's a plane then it's a new secret plane with wings that flap
and craps on cars that were just washed. The scale of the video
you are watching is not giving a just image of what flew by.

maybe spud is right just a bird.however one thing is for shure it can be a jet cuz you would have heard it on the video.if you listen closely you hear the background music and a police siren.plus why the hell would a f16 fly like 200 feet above those people.

I had just about everyone in my office look at it, and had a bunch of different ideas. One person said it has to be a fighter jet, and then someone said its going way too fast to be a jet... so I really really don't think thats a bird.. you even see it make a sharp turn when it goes behind the building.

a bird crossing that many feet in less then a few seconds .......... come on.. someone needs to get on google maps and see how far apart that is in feet... then we can get a rough speed on this "bird" if its a bird its the fastest bird I have ever seen.... Unless the video was fast forwarded... the people look to be walking normal right?

There is no way that is a jet. LOL.

It is obviously a bird. And to those who think its going to fast??? Have you ever seen a small bird fly? They can actually fly very fast! I see them flying super fast all the time.

You can see its wings flap when it first enters the camera view.

How Fast Can Birds Fly?

How Fast Can Birds Fly - part 2

Most songbirds can fly about 20 to 30 miles per hour, but Common
Eiders can fly nearly 50 miles per hour, and Dunlins (shorebirds)
are suspected of reaching nearly 100 miles per hour.

Anyways, keep looking up

Here, now it is an identified flying object, but hey I can understand why you would think 2 million people didn't see it but you could in a blurry internet video.

Have everyone in your office take a look at it on a High Def bigscreen TV.
I'm sure they will change their minds. The wings flapping are a dead
giveaway. This may give new maening to U.F.O. Unidentified Flapping Object. It's a bird.
