Hey ... we've GOT to make sure Canada is okay. For two reasons -

1 They appreciate HOCKEY for what it is - the best sport on the planet.
2 Their beer.

I frankly never understood the Canada vs USA thing over the years at all.
We share the same Continent,Have very similar values,And many of us love to go to either's country for any one of many reasons as well as the two share the biggest land border in North America.
Ive grown up in Detroit(44yrs old) and Canada was always part of my life as well.
Ontario is a Wonderfull Province and offers so much diversity and beauty that I cant possibly list it all here.
Many know exactly what Im talking about or aboot.LOL
But What do I know I like Hockey and Labatts.

American arrogance is at the root of the "rivalry". I'm unsure of it's origins, but I'm willing to bet it was started by an American.

Americans have this delusional thought that they are somehow the greatest people on the planet, so when they see a people on their border that don't have an itch to bomb and invade defenseless countries (imagine that...), they feel superior.

It has become two-sided because Canadians have responded. In my opinion, Canadians have more of an argument against the United States than Americans do against Canada. We're allegedly a peaceful people and are for world peace, yet we make fun of countries like Canada for being peaceful.

Which leads us to American hypocrisy, which is a whole other problem...
