Not sure if this one was ever posted on here but it was on the Poland news. It's falling but when ever it gets closer to the ground it slows down. Kind of weird. Thoughts?

Seems I suck at embedding videos.

Any followups?!
I wonder if an investigation was done.
I'm sure most will say meteor..
I dunno though, I am interested to see
any developments.

I've never seen a meteor move that slow. I'll dig around some more for any developments.

Wow - that was interesting! And as the previous poster mentioned, many will say it was probably a meteor of some type, but it's pretty strange how it did slow down a lot as it descended; doesn't look like a meteor.

There's been a lot of stuff falling to Earth lately! Better bring our umbrellas when we go out!

It's another sun-lit contrail...

Sorry...

If it was really high in the sky it would appear to slow down as it approached the horizon. It looks like the one in Sweden some years back. It's on youtube and I am sure most have seen it.

Are you saying sorry for your snarky response?!

Or sorry that you know with without a shadow of a doubt
that it is a sun-lit contrail?!

Please provide some evidence. An explanation
would be appreciated. Even copy and paste
something if ya need to.

Sorry, because the OP was probably expecting it to be something less mundane than jet/contrail.

Also sorry because I don't have time to enter into discussions about jet contrails right now, but I'm sure this thread will have some examples posted soon. We have some very efficient members here

You didn't want to enter into a discussion about jet contrails?!
Then why even post something. With the efforts you put into
these 2 posts (and I'm guessing a 3rd after this) you could have
backed up your claim with some facts.

I'm thinking that you may return when someone else posts about
contrails and write, "see told you so".

We indeed have some efficient members here and clearly you are
not in that club.

I would not be surprised to learn that this a meteor, but I keep an
open mind.

The quality of the video sure is terrible but here are some nice photos of the most likely culprit.

Short, sunset lit contrails

We had a similar sighting in Singapore about 2 years back.

I think it was in between the Singapore-Malaysia Straits.

Hmm, well i thought the contrail thing was a good explanation. But now I'm not sure I mean, i see these sunlit contrails all the time, and they are usually euther long and stringy or really small and quickly dissipating. This one, and the one posted from Singapore/Malaysia, looks Big and wide but with a very short tail. The only reason i can think of, making it a contrail, would be if it is travelling away from the camera. Thus making it compressed and blobby thru the optics. But I'm not the least sure about what it could be. However, the skies around the world seem jam packed with blazing infernos these days!

Read what I said again. I said "I didn't have time to enter into a discussion...". I'd been up all night posting on other threads, it was not far off getting light, and I needed some sleep since I had an important appointment in a few hours time.

Anyway, here's a small contribution from me, even though the others posted here are better examples, since thy are 'foreshortened' due to perspective, where as mine is not - you have to imagine it almost 'head on'.

I say contrail. The common feature of these 'red/glowing/firey' UFO vids is the time of day, more specifically a setting/rising sun. There are lots of examples on YouTube and when you get a well focussed example, the 'shape' is invariably split in two at the leading end. This is due to the plane's engines separated by the fuselage. Short contrails like these aren't the effect of perspective/foreshortening. You'd have to be at 35,000 feet yourself to get that. They're due to a low moisture content at high altitude so the contrail evaporates very quickly.

Here's another example

And another

If its stuck in the sky for awhile like in hover, I always say
its an Illuminated gas (air, atmosphere) show courtesy of Tesla
technology.

Or the craft got stuck in the sky with it's chemtrail mechanism stuck.
Its not easy to eject a trail from an electrified craft.
There must be nano technology metal beads that have to be
give a high velocity push.
Confounding the charge flow may result.
Some how the propelling motion has stopped in these cases.
A possible charge flow problem stalled out the craft.

You will find many who will jump up with the most "Acceptable" answer as to what is being seen, mentioning no names.

Everything is just "Meteors", bolides, and a assortment of odd mechanical devices that are so common that a first grader should know about them.

It is obvious this is not a contrail, because traditional contrails will have a AIRCRAFT attached to the front of them! This video seems to be missing that part. The "Zoom" of this video was quite sufficient to have produced a aircraft, if it was present.

Certain members of this elite ATS group have concluded this is a picture of the "ISS" taken out of focus. I do not agree.

Could the above be responsible for the above video if it re-entered?
