As it is my right, I call for the assembly of an anti-anti-Constitutionalists party! This is absurd.

The only reason you have the "right" to call for anything in the first place is because of the constitution! Oh and by the way your use of a double negative suggests you would call for the assembly of a Constitutionalist party?

Please remember to flag this thread so it will get the attention of others who might be interested.

Good luck, America.

If such a thing happened, there would be an opposition force. This is nothing more than political theater, meant to destroy someone for political reasons. Almost everything on that list is baseless and many Americans wont stand for it.

Some of those things do draw merit in my eyes. They are the very things this country is built on.

Without the constitution any rights you have right now may have never happened. At the rate we are going we are lucky to have the rights we do have....since for some reason people think they need to decide what is best for everyone else when they shouldn't be...that is what the constitution was based on...freedom...protection of rights...protection of persecution.

The evolution of society is needed...but to disregard our roots and history on what has made this country the once great symbol of freedom that it was is not only treasonous in my eyes...but idiotic.

Majority SHOULD NOT RULE......the majority SHOULD BE TOLERANT.

Wanting to outlaw a meeting such as this is not only Unconstitutional...it is Unamerican.

What you stated in your post absolutely disgusts me. You are everything that is wrong with this country.

BTW

Thanks for thread....it's great to see something like this!! I cannot vouch for the Obama resignation...he's in....that's it. The whole thing is debatable anyway (don't want to get into it please).

Why people think we cannot abide by our constitution and help change our country and the world for the better just doesn't make sense to me.

We have been here for over 200 years. We have had our problems..but we overcome them. We are resilient but we overcome our differences and problems.

I will always support the constitution of this country.

Yes it is a political theater, don't you think that that is the appropriate theater to engage in political discussions? Meant to destroy someone? Quite the opposite... it is meant to destroy the power of the people who would destroy OUR rights as citizens. This is not about Barack Obama for God's sake! This is about a checks and balance of a government which continues to subvert, little by little, the basis of this country, namely the constitution.

Again, it is not about the list... it IS about American citizens' voices being heard and respected enough not to be ignored. Tell me, when was the last time you questioned your government on ANYTHING they've done? Did you feel like you were really heard? Or did you just feel dismissed? Did they really listen to you or just give you the party line to get you out of their office so they could get "back to the business of governing these people"?

The constitution was written in order to preserve individual and minority rights. The constitution gives citizens the RIGHT to petition the government for answers - REAL ANSWERS. If we allow ANY degradation, other than ammendments legally enacted, then shame on us... we've done it to ourselves.

I live in Philadelphia and just read about this, sounds pretty amazing if this goes off without any problems. I will be taking a trip down to Independence Hall that way to see if anything interesting occurs. A video camera will be in hand, lol.

Actually, I think it's because most people don't have any idea what's actually in the constitution. Most people don't realize that it is a document meant to preserve individual and minority rights. The constitution not only gives citizens the right to petition their government but gives us the DUTY of fulfilling a checks and balance on our government. Otherwise we would fast become a democracy. I'm constantly amazed that most Americans don't even know that we have a constitutional republican form of government - not a democracy. Anyway... I guess I'll chalk it up to the public school system, or more likely as in my case, not paying attention in civics class.

I agree with so many others. I think it's too late. Sounds good but this should have been taken care of earlier. We sat around playing our Gameboys, watching our televisions indulging in lavish foods and sex (and sometimes together) and in great abundance, listening to this rogue governments political forked tongues tell us that anything that is said in opposition to what government says is 'conspiracy theory' (a word created by the government to make true patriots look like fools, take Ron Paul for instance, one of many) they then categorize it under the all too elusive UFO/Alien agenda, that to some is not proven, if not a downright ludicrous undertaking of an anti-establishment Bigfoot, and we all know that Bigfoot is all FOR the government....just the right one, right? right?
They threw it in with the same interests of the typical homeless corner hobo holding up the sign warning us of the nearing of human suffering that will ultimately solidify our demise. As we should know, to question your gov't is what keeps the word 'free' in freedom, to hold them accountable and to answer without 'playing down to the public' and making you feel stupid for your God-given right. We did not do this and now we are just inheritances of 'free-dumb'. Our children shall also carry this burden.
My point is, you/we fell for their plan of turning us into lethargic dependable children wrapped in human skin or whatever skin you were allotted 12-14 weeks in the womb or glass tube. They now have EMP weapons, crowd control weapons of sophisticated technology, that incidentally were created while we were 'asleep at the wheel'.
-Microwave beam weapons that can fry your internal organs while negating the tissues surrounding the targeted tissue/organs and the skin remains undisturbed (in prototype stage, some contest usage in Iraq).
-Sound directed weapons that can barely be heard standing right next to them but were they to be directed into a crowd? - "The knees buckle, the brain aches, the stomach turns. And suddenly, nobody feels like protesting anymore. Witnesses describe a minute-long blast of sound emanating from a white Israeli military vehicle. Within seconds, protesters began falling to their knees, unable to maintain their balance."
-- Toronto Star, 6/6/05
-Malodorants and calmatives, so many ways to kick your/our Butts en masse.
-I won't even speak of the terrors of the crowd control weapons and military applications involving the hijacked and reverse-engineered technology schematics and notes of Serbian-American physicist and electrical engineer/applied electrical futuristic technologies of a one Nikola Tesla just after he died.
So wrapping it up, they will just kick our butts if we try to defeat them now. Better is to act like a prison beoch and lube that butt up so that great big red, white and blue American d*** doesn't hurt so bad when they stick you with the same ol, same ol once again and tell you what a romantic life you must be living. Another generation, another 'cellmate'. The only hope is an epiphany of realization and/or a sacrifice of the greatest kind or GOD himself being voted in as President of the United States, that would be the only time I ever voted because I would know that it wasn't a lie. Wouldn't matter if the opposition was 'Dove or Hawk', GOD would be the big dog in the yard that would snack on them both! ...and then quiet (sigh).. the world is a better place. On an unrelated note, It disturbs me a bit to the likening of Obama to Abraham Lincoln as he was the leader of the Union during the Civil War. It is looking more and more like Civil War part 2 may soon be upon us. Not cool, but necessary possibly. Whatever happens.......it's gonna hurt many.

It's not too late.. we got this! Seriously, maybe this is just the "epiphany" needed to wake people up. In any case, I'd certainly like to see this kind of change vs. "a sacrifice of the greatest kind". Now's the time!

Im truly afraid for the United States. The goverment has ignored the Constitution for decades now behind the scenes but recently it flaunts power in public.

Even my family who for years called me a conspiracy nut are starting to believe what Ive been telling them.

They and others are starting to see the system we live under for what it is. It can no longer be called a conspiracy theory when the goverment in full view of the public gives corporations and banks trillions of dollars to "bail" them out.

Even my mother who believes pretty much what the media and govt tells her notices that Obama is filling his Cabinet with CFR members, bankers, and old-school politicians. So much for change eh Obama.

With regards to the We the People Foundation, Ive been following them for years. They have repeatedly and patiently asked the US goverment to respond to a petition asking about certain constitutional violations. The govt refused to respond so the leader went on a hunger strike. The govt agreed to here the petition but later reneged on the deal.

Since then the Foundation has gone to Court many times to force the goverment to respond. I believe it reached the US Supreme Court but the final decision was the same as always, ignoring the People's petition for redress.

The Constitution grants us the people the right to redress. This means the people have a right to ask a question and get an answer from the goverment. If the goverment refuses to respond and fix the issue, the people then have the right to refuse payment of taxes and loyalty to the goverment.

At this point the goverment is rogue and in clear violation of the US Constitution. Its no longer a conspiracy theory, these criminal bankers are running the nation right out in the open. They forced Congress to hand over trillions of dollars to them, outright theft frankly.

And because people are now unable to purchase their People Magazines, vodka, plasma televisions, and weekly dinners at the Olive Garden they are starting to ask questions.

We are at a critical stage in history here. Obama if you pay attention to his messages is asking the people to expect to get less, conserve, get paid less, allow environmental issues to take priority over growing food, and hand yourself over to the govt for "voluntary" servitude. This folks is the final stages of the transformation from a Constitutional Republic to a true Socialist nation.

And in this socialist nation our rights can be given and taken away from us. Under our soon to be former Constitutional Republic we are BORN with those rights and thus no body can ever take them away.

Listen to Obama and you will see his clear agenda. Its to turn this nation into a poverty stricken 3rd world country of socialism. It means waiting in line for handouts from the goverment. It means a socialist medical system in place where we need the goverment to make us all better. It mean servitude to the govt as a thank you for giving us so much.

It will also mean world goverment eventually. And its not going to be the world goverment in Star Trek where humanity is united for a common good. It rather will be a world of famine, suffering, slavery, drug addiction, and worse. The elite will reign supreme over us like the serfs we have become. We wont own land and our jobs will barely allow us to eat. Middle class will be a term we have no concept of.

Its not a world I want to live in. And if we dont stop the elite now and wake up it will soon be too late. Once they get a few more control mechanisms in place it will be too late. The final stages are upon us. microchip implants, cashless monetary systems, and gun control are the last things protecting us from these monsters.

Evidently, "baseless" is now a matter of perception and personal preference. Careful there. There are folks around who, when their "baseless" concerns are not addressed by proper channels, will most definitely resort to improper ones. To dismiss their concerns as "baseless", without so much as a "by your leave", or acknowledgement of any sort, is a step onto treacherous ground indeed.

Give me a break here. I believe the pursuit of individual freedoms has been within the purview of human rights since ancient Greece. The Constitution has nothing to do with whether or not some Democratic nation, somewhere along the line of all of human history, would have come to the same conclusion that freedom of thought, expression and mobility for all people are irrevocable and self evident truths. Please, the semantics game? You must realize that not only did you fail to disprove my argument, you only gave me the opportunity to do the same to you for a second time...

Secondly, this whole birth certificate argument has so far been very complicated. One side actually states that a birth certificate was provided, the other says no such thing took place. Who can you possibly believe? Who of you have wrote to your congresspeople to address this issue? Look, I respect the law and all but if it really is this inconsequential then it doesn't matter. More importantly, you have to look at who exactly is leading this case against Obama's status of natural-born citizenry. I hear the lawyer fronting this entire charge, Phillip Berg, is basically an abject, complacent man whose career is hanging by a thread and is looking for any amount of publicity he cant get.

A nice idea these organizers have, but I have some reservations about this sort of thing they tend to either get bogged down in the little details or it turns into a power struggle between the various factions with the group.

There's nothing to be amazed about. America is a Democracy. When people generally think of the word Democracy they don't think of any specific governmental institution abiding by particular legal regulations. Whatever form of government was once used by the Greeks can only possibly describe whatever sort of government was once used by the Greeks... What does providing definitions actually add to your argument? By telling people that our government is nothing like that of the direct democracy practiced by the ancient Greeks you have only stated the obvious. So we are a Constitutional Republic. But we practice Democracy. You realize we could have picked a King and still be labeled a Constitutional Republic?

Look all I am saying is that any ideas the think tank if I may use that term have to be workable ideas for the 21st Century if they want to gain the kind of wide spread support that would be needed to implement positive and reformist policy's. In essence cognoscente is correct in saying that policy or constitutional ideas from three hundred years ago aren't necessary workable or even a good idea today .

I would encourage any kind of such discussions in any country because they will get a lot further then the keyboard warriors will ever do . I know that ATS member Don White strongly desires that a third Constitutional Convention be held . If such a group was to spring up here in New Zealand I would seek to be a part of it if possible .

as evidenced by the replies in this post,,,, people are so lazy,,misinformed and so unwilling to fight, stand up or even try

the framers knew these rights given us would still be relevant throughout the future

it's people today that cry times are changing who are wrong

freedom today is the same freedons of 1850 and so on
people are still people

don't look for differences such as the obama thing,,,look for the similarities you do have with this event,,,,we too quickly divide if we don't agree on all issues 100%

The problem with things like these is that all the people who disagree with the government can't come to agree with each other.
