Just a guess, but it might have had something to do with the 8 trillion people who were expected to and did show up at the event. Funny how so many a
rejoicing and having a great time, and then there is that little group of people sitting at home, bitter, and hoping everything falls apart to justify
their negative attitudes.

And you think they are all stationed in DC?
I think it would cost a whole heck of a lot more to move troops in then to hire local security.
This inauguration is the first since 9/11. So security had to be beefed up.And it was four times larger then any previous inaugurations. So it is
going to be four times as expensive.
So 40 million times four is 160,000,000. So it is about right on target.
