Hey Guys

Im in Melbourne Australia currently looiking towards the city from the eastern suburbs(mount Waverley for any one in melbourne)

there seems to be a light hovering over the city . I have taken some photos which are not very good and i can post them at a later stage but bc my camera is not so strong there very fuzzy and shows zig zagz as that light.

so if any one is in melbourne take a look and see if you can see what that light is.

it seems far from where im and doesnt seem to be twinkling but looks to be a longish type of object.

May be a helicopter light may not be but it hasnt moved from that spot in the last 20min.

Is it fairly low on the horizon?

If it is, I would say it's Venus.

A good program to download is Stellarium

It will show you what's in the sky at any given time.

Cheers

Hi gate13 and chadwickus

Sounds like a job for your local friendly neighbourhood InFraRedMan!! *Cue Superhero music*
Im not sure if hes still here tonight...but he is in Melbourne and this is right up his alley!

My suggestion for taking better pix at night is to use a tripod or rest your camera somewhere and just press the button and dont even breathe while you do it!. as the shutter speed will be low at night any movement of the camera will make a blur. so it needs to be completely still.

luck

Take a few deep breaths before hand, take another deep breath and exhale gently as you squeeze the trig... button.

On the 30th I captured, during the day, 45 mins of a "light" hovering above Melbourne with my MiniDv handycam. It was a very windy day and freakin' hot but this thing moved so slowly it just didn't make any sense as to what it might have been.

Also on the 9th of November 2008 I captured several UFOs with the same camera from the same position but in different areas of the sky, orbs, planes, jets and ufos. One is 100% a craft of some sort travelling faster than the Cessna that came just 5 seconds before it.

I really need someone to do an analysis of my tape, work out distances from the first plane to the 2nd object which basically travelled along the same path but a bit higher and MUCH faster.

Basically I have 2 tapes sitting here because I don't have even a Firewire hub thing to transfer the footage and edit it myself so I can show the world.

Oh well.
