I actually did create the text on that picture.

But yeah, 42 is a fail. Why in the hell would 42 be the meaning of life, that's like saying 64 is the meaning of life, just doesn't make sense.

I was really bored one day after reading HitchHikers and wanted to come up with a reason why 42 was chosen...and after the math was over (pie and phi are much better choices; phi being the better of the two) I went to phonetics. This is where my Spanish in High School decided to rear its' ugly head and I came up with:

"For-ty-two"

Which translated in my late teenage brain as:

"For (English spelling)-ti (Spanish spelling, which is the feminine of "you")-too(English spelling)"

So my hormonal, young and ignorant brain established for me that the meaning of life (42) meant "For you too" (as I am a native English speaker everything ended up in English).

"For you too" meaning we're all in this together and it kind of remained a reminder for me to not overlook others in my quest for whatever I was questing...

Not an epic fail in my mind...

And yeah...I'm crazy...
