I have two valid questions:

Firstly; How many XP does one obtain by banishing the demon?

Secondly; How many HP's worth of damage does a 'Blessed Katana' inflict?

Thanks in advance for answering.

Whether he tried for real or not this kid has really raked in the replies with just this post. It has over 400 and he has not said anything for a long time. Strikes me that this thread was made to cause controversy and rake him in points when he was a new member to help himself get started methinks.

I'm not religious, I don't go with the whole "demon, evil spirit boogyman' deal as alot of others. I pretty much just practice chaos magic, though some of the ideas there i also don't neccisserily agree with. Spirits are like people, some are nice friendly hippies, some are mean and rotten to the core, some are indifferent, pretty much my feelings on it.
Having said all that, I still would definatly not suggest "calling forth a demon to you body in order to torture it to death" you're just going to leave your friend with a mutilated corpse and legal troubles, a bizzarre obituary, and cause people to jump back on the bandwagon as to 'why DnD, comic books, and video games are bad for your mental health"

and after reading alot of this, would pretty much say don't mess with spirits of any sort, the occult, or sharp instruments, and instead either go back to watching buffy, or go commit yourself to the nearest mental home, maybe theyll let you watch buffy there

If you guys do some researching around, you will find out that there has been legends and stories of humans being able to call and capture, even enslaving demonic forces. The most famous would probably be the stories straight out of the bible and the story of the famous king Solomon who was able to make demons do his bidding. Over the years, you hear stories of other people making pacts with demons and devils to be able to wield power. Many of these stories come with murders and doing evil deeds. Even today, there are some demonology who believe you can capture demonic forces with things like a fear box, or with special seals. It's all very interesting stuff, but frankly, the line between truth and fiction is a bit of blur, especially after so many legends and stories.

You do not summon a demon, you invite a demon. I can't stand the word summoning. Demons are very powerful beings, not something you can just make appear and dissapear when you feel like! Like a Jack out of a box, popping up...It is that arrogant and careless way of approaching demons that is causing most of the problems to begin with. Furthermore, the discussion about how evil demons really are, might be interesting, since most 'knowledge' about demons is based on the bible. The information in that book only apply when you are a believer. Most theistic satanists view satan and the demons in a different way, but that is an entirely different discussion.
To topic starter: by the way you want to approach this whole thing, it is so clear to me you have no idea what you are getting yourself into. If you think for a moment you will be able to keep a demon trapped inside your body, please think again. It doesn't work that way.
I would keep away as far away as I could if I were you. It's link a child wanting to play with matches but not realizing that doing that without knowing how, it can cause great harm.

whatever it is, plz sum1 just tell me how to call a guardian demon... well...dont worry abt me becoz tht wont harm YOU!! if there is anyone who knows how to do that, then just tell me n sepherial.. [is tht his spelling?] AND 1 more thing... demons r fallen angels mostly, so if you hav a clear heart n if you believe in your demon, if you know wht to say to him and what to ask him for,,, then the demon will get along well with u. they r really strong protectors if u can make them... only u hav to fall in luv with the demon... the love here means tht u need to create a bond... tht is a belief in India n japan too

I suggest getting a big bowl of Purina Demon Chow and setting it in front of you and then uttering these ancient and magical words;

"Heeere demon demon demon. C'mon boy, good demon, c'mon......"

I dont know for sure if it will work or not, but its a good place to start.

I wonder what became of this kid, weather he was a troll or simply a misguided idiot who saw too many movies, I wouldn't mind seeing his response to this (now infamous) thread...

There has never ever been any documented evidence that demons, or angels, exist. Getting scared about it makes as much sense as being scared of Santa Claus.

All demonologists are fake. Every single one. Without exception. Some might mean well, but they're ignorant of critical thinking. No one can be a specialist in something that has no substantiating evidence. It'd be like me saying I'm an expert in Bigfoot's movie preferences.

Instead of trying to invite and control a demon. Can u start with something less powerful? Like a simple ghost? Or a poltergist? They were once human right? If you could "control" them and harness there "power". Whatever "power" "they" may have. Can you control a ghost? Can you hit a ghost? If it can hit you, u can hit it back.
Jus wonderin...

SO thiss kids 1st experience with something like this he wants to invoke Astaroth, the prince of accusers and inquisitors and a demon of the 1st hiearchy, per the lesserkey of solomon. His adversary is St Bartholomew who resisted the demon's temptations.

I've seen things in my life that would blow your mind. I've witnessed excorcisms at a mission in Kenya and explored many different branches of religon and the paranormal. And regardless of whether you believe folks here or not, there is nothing about your plan which sounds remotely intelligent. Even if said demon is not real the potential for a lay person to invoke or attract something else should be enough to dissuade you from this silliness. If you believe in demons in the traditional sense then you believe in God. And if both those statements are true then God will grant you justice.

IMHO you should seek psychiatric help. Your sister says a name on her deathbed with no explanation and your ready to attempt suicide? If your a Christian thereby damning your soul for eternity to the same place said demon reigns over... Get therapy.

....There are an outstanding number of issues all over the place here so, in the off chance you're actually in a situation where you're.... "determined" enough to to bring on a demon, I'll let you know a couple of rather important things. Now, near the very beggining, Seruak (Actually did their homework)
gave you good advice with the goetic practices. The man thing that he/she/it was probably referring to was the Seal/Triangle of Solomon, which would have been really easy to look up. But I'll let that slide if you read the story of Aleistar Crowley and Choronzon. The reason you want to read that is because he was: 1) A lot, lot, lot stronger than you, 2) took on something of similar power, greater, but still similar, to Astaroth and 3) Took this mighty demon into his body for the only reason anyone is foolish enough to do that... But that's a different topic all together. If you are seeking protection try St. Bartholomew, the anti-Astaroth. If you really are seeking revenge... You're, forgive me, very, very, very confused, there is absolutely nothing you can do to cause severe suffering to most any demon, let alone a prince. Astaroth is an Ancient, he was there for the Fall, an angle at one point. He is a master of knowledge, knows what was and will be, especially with insects like humans, he knows all secrets and his name means flocks or crowds, Astarot. But if none of this hinders you, now knowing that you, as a human, cannot destroy him, only summon him and then send him back, use the bloody seal of Solomon! For those Religious people out there, God intrusted Solomon with two priceless objects: one I don't remember, maybe that Arc of the Covanent thingy, and the other was a ring, called the Ring of Solomon. This ring had upon it a sybol of demon mega-magic, now called the Seal/Triangle of Solomon, which controlled/banished/summoned demons. God gave this stuff to him because he was the wisest man in the world... That aside, even that seal won't help 100% against Astarot, but it's your best bet. And toss your blessed blade into a lake, it won't help you destroy him in the slightest. Ahhh... Am I leaving out anything in the case you are for real? Covered topics:
*Quick history of the Demon Prince

*Fact that you can't win

Knew I forgot something! Yeah, you let him into your body, that's end game for you, lights out. A demon, a being of any sort with this intellect and power, your body belongs to it 100%. So, yeah, if you have any other demon related questions, Ask. If you have any more plans like this... Just don't have any more plans like this.

Dude, seriously? You can't capture demons, it's just impossible. And if you manage to call one, it will possess you. It will wait for months, maybe even years, to kill you. And when it goes back down, it's taking you with it. So, like almost every single person said on this thread, DON'T DO IT!!!!!

Seeing as the very existence of demons has never even been demonstrated, which should be rather easy given the fantastic claims made in this thread, it's a waste of time to even discuss it.

If demons exist, surely it would be to the benefit of every 'demonologist' to demonstrate they do, as the funding alone would be incredible, and demons could be actually studied and fought.

The fact they haven't done so yet is very, very suspicious indeed. Either demonologists want demons to cause the claimed havoc they do, or demonologists are full of rubbish. It has to be one or the other.
