Michelle Obama’s pay-for-play position at the University of Chicago Hospital has been eliminated. You know … that position that was created exclusively for her in which her salary did that sudden jump from $121,910 in 2004 before her hubby was senator, to $316,962 right after her hubby became the senator.

Guess now that Michelle Obama’s hubby isn’t a senator who will bring in million dollar earmarks for the hospital, the hospital doesn’t have to ‘pay for play’ and pretend to need her around anymore.

Michelle Obama had been on unpaid leave from the position for a while. Considering that the made-for-Michelle position only existed briefly, it is safe to say that it was a position that remained void of someone actually doing much work in it at all.

Chicago politics as usual. And the Obamas’ are up to their eyeballs in it. Both of them. Wonder what George W. Haywood, John J. Gorman, and Jared Abbruzzese think of all this?

Chicago Daily Observer has an interesting piece. Our Sick Health Care System asks this - if these 'senior executive jobs' at the hospital that Michelle Obama 'worked' at could be cut, and if the hospital claims it won't effect health care, then what the heck did the hospital have those positions for in the first place?

THIS is how we get to the point of having to pay $5 for an asprin in the ER at hospitals - says the article. I agree.

Kill the 'pay for play' positions in hospitals and banks and corporations and the rest, and the country will be a lot better off.

I cannot believe that I actually agree with you on something, but I do.

Barack Obama is nothing but a criminal. It doesn't get any simpler than that, folks. His sudden rise to power should be suspicious. It rings an odd bell of comparison to some German guy back in the 1930s.

Sadly, to 70 million voting Americans, it does no such thing.

Isn't it amusing how as we progress ever so closer to Inauguration Day, the lies that built and propped up the "Change" motto are crumbling to dust? More and more those of us paying attention are seeing just how corrupt, and just how ordinary in today's US political system, Barack Obama and the people around him truly are.

No "change", my gullible friends. Sorry. Game over. Go reserve your place in the soup line.

You mean the one they hired a hospital doctor to replace her for?

Her duties will be taken over by Dr. Eric Whitaker, a friend of her husband, President-elect Barack Obama, and a long-time executive vice president for strategic affiliations and external affairs.

The International Herald Tribune reports that although Senator Obama was able to secure only about $3 out of every $10 he requested, the list of requests included $1 million for an expansion of the University of Chicago Medical Center in 2006, where his wife, Michelle Obama, is a vice president.

The request was denied.

Senator Obama’s aides as well as officials at the hospital said his wife had nothing to do with the request.


It's funny how information can be presented in such a limited and skewed way as to suggest impropriety. And the masses just buy it.

It's no wonder many don't even bother reading this crap anymore. After so many cries of "wolf", one loses their credibility.

THEY DID NOT! The request was DENIED.

The premise of this entire thread is speculation based on sour grapes. And you speak of "sheeple". Do your homework, people!
